Are you sure about that? Mineral oil is usually used for a service interval of 5,000-6,000km for any cars.

Proton used to permit users to use the lowest grade of engine oil for the Preve Turbo, which is the semi-synthetic Synthium 800 sometime in 2013. In early 2014, they do not recommend Synthium 800 for the Preve Turbo anymore, stating that after a research they found that Synthium 800 is not too suitable for the Preve Turbo's engine. Hence they now recommend the full-synthetic Synthium 1000 as a minimum for the Preve Turbo for a service interval of 10,000km.

Just out of curiosity, am I right in saying that the differences between Preve and Preve Premium are just the extra features (e.g.,turbo)?

All the rest are of the same quality (car body, paint, etc)?

Asking as I don't have much problem with my Preve Premium beside the ESC problem. Thus wondering whether Preve Premium overall build quality is better than Preve.

Cheerio.

Exec:
No auto sidemirror flip
No auto wiper
No lights inside gear console
No CFE logo at the rear smile.gif

exec owner here so far happy but if anyone out there have extra budget just go for premium version lah

Does anybody have problems with the driver's seat whereby when you move your back against the seat there is sound from the seat. I have changed the whole seat once under warranty sometime last year, but the new seat shows the same problem again after several months.

Proton had ordered a new seat to replace the defective seat, but currently there is no stock for this seat. I had been waiting for the seat to arrive for 2 months now. Does anyone here have the seat on order if your current one is defective?

my 8 months old exec is having this sound when ever i move my back "roughly". there won't be any sound if i move slowly politely!
not sure wanna claim warranty or not when i am going for 20k service in 2 weeks time. worried sc might gives me a refurbished seat for replacement

Perhaps the sound from your seat is the same sound I am experiencing in my car. If you move your back politely you won't hear the sound. Only when you press your body more firmly onto the seat when you position your body then only you will hear the sound. Also, when your car goes over speed bumps and your body will tend to move and rub against the back seat, and you will then hear this sound.

I believe there are many complaints on this "defective" seat already as the last time I visited the Proton service centre in COSE, those guys over there knew about this seat that is producing "noises" when I mentioned defective seat. Even the manager. Also, the driver's seat is low on stock , probably due to large number of complaints on the defective seat and the new seats are on the waiting list to be installed onto the affected vehicles. It's almost 3 months already since the seat for my car was ordered but until now they have not called me to inform on the availability of the seat(so that I can go to the service centre to have the defective seat swapped out with a new one).
*
yup same sound like yours. if we claim warranty, do we get a new seat or refurbished seat?

Like to know who has filled more than 50 litres in our Preve tank. My highest volume is 48 litres.

Why am I asking this?

Want to know if 50 litres is really the absolute maximum or is there some more room there.

Thanks.

last weekend pumped till 48l. still can go a bit but decided to stop because already rm101 smile.gif

Hi guys, wanna ask some question, is proton preve exec auto worth to buy? Currently in my area there is no car for test driving , so wondering how is the performance of the car ? and what is the fuel cost every KM? I'm only for normal use and run sales. Unfortunately premium is out of my budget...only considering persona or preve exec...please give me some advice , thanks
*
exec owner here smile.gif

sorry no offense everyone, just my personal point of view. if you are doing sales driving around short distance and full city driving, i'm afraid preve not the right choice for you due to its FC. unless you are doing long distance traveling on the highway then it will be a very enjoyable ride.

however i do feel regret a bit not getting premium cfe last year. but again the maintenance cost for premium cfe also not cheap smile.gif
