Palace having a goal wrongly disallowed for offside when they were a couple of goals behind was the turning point for city. Can't believe the linesman called it off..he was directly in line with city's defenders.

Utd getting the rub of the green too when agbonlahor was sent off for a fifty2 challenge but they failed to capitalise on their one man advantage.

Is it too much to hope for some favourable decisions from the officials in our upcoming match vs Stoke? sweat.gif

yep. referee made very bad decision. that challenge was a 50-50. yellow would have been quite strict, but red?? really bad call.

Yep ref got over excited it seems. In the end ashley young got up with no harm done. That benteke strike was really something though. Pretty sure he won't be at villa for long.

not rich enuff to go to London yet. tongue.gif

Maybe when I start working, nid to save up. laugh.gif

It's 1 of my wishlist, to attend a football match in England/Spain/Italy. Call it a long shot, but I'll make sure I go 1 day.  rclxm9.gif

Btw just bought tmr's ticket which is schedule at 6.30pm. So yea, definitely watching the match in the morning. Go go you blues!  flex.gif City is breathing down our neck. This is a must win game.

Good to know,man. I'm sure you'll get to SW6 one day smile.gif

Urgghh it is getting a little bit uncomfortable up there. City are determined to chase us down and not many teams are capable of doing us a little favour by taking points off them.

One thing's for sure, mark hughes knows how to psyche his team for the big games so i hope the lads know exactly what to expect. they've overcome both arsenal and city right? I think an early goal to stem the noise from their crowd will go a long way to calm our players' nerves. Everyone's had a good rest,so that's definitely a huge positive. icon_idea.gif

In the end that early goal really took the wind out of stoke city and we should aim to get one in double time vs the hammers.

Stoke just looked a bit confused themselves as to what gameplan they should adopt,as they never really got at us on the counter and parked a somewhat damaged bus. In the end fabregas's goal came at a perfect time when we were just beginning to mess up our clearances sweat.gif

Solid performance overall, aided massively by our monster in the middle, nemanja matic. Special mention goes out to mikel who had a very good game as well! Wasn't really convinced prior to the match about that pairing, but it seems they can really add an iron grip to our midfield.

Hazard i think shouldn't be risked, and we can bring back oscar and start schurrle to really inject some freshness to the team. Willian looks slightly off pace so he deserves a short break on the bench.

Heard the rumours on nando, all the best to him.if we're smart,i hope we send him FOC to atletico but on ONE condition which is first option on their midfield dynamo, koke! icon_idea.gif

Drogba looked really off the pace..wish remy was on earlier. Too many players trying to be too precise imo. Had chances to get shots away but choosing to pass it around to teammates who were in even tighter positions. Awful crossing from both flanks didn't help either.

Now man city draw too, I see hope again

Yep,totally unexpected result from burnley and their equaliser was an absolute cracker!

QUOTE(Gaia34 @ Dec 29 2014, 07:42 AM)
Well Mourinho prefers drog more than remy atm.... sweat.gif
*
Yep,it's justified to a certain extent, but i still feel he's more than capable of causing damage to teams on the backfoot, especially when he starts. Credit to him,he rarely disappoints when he gets time on the pitch. He'll get minutes but not sure if he'll start at white hart lane.

Spurs did quite well vs united but the red devils will be kicking themselves for not converting their chances.

In the end there were two crucial turning points vs the saints and it still comes down to that big decision when fabregas was tripped (heck no need for replays, even in real-time you could see he was fouled), and when costa somehow slipped with only the keeper to beat. It was a gifted pass from their defender which we failed to punish.

Points dropped but i'm quite impressed with the Southampton bus. It's very organised tongue.gif

Oh and JT will be disappointed for sure. If he didn't woefully try to step out to catch sadio mane offside, i don't think we would've conceded.

At this moment we're still lacking some decent competition for willian. Nobody is good enough to cover for him,and as usual schurrle is back to his old self, i.e; squandering yet another opportunity given to him by jose. I feel we may as well recall Moses or even kakuta from rayo vallecano and show salah the exit door. Clearly he isn't in jose's plans.

Besides Moses, Kakuta etc, we still have Christian Atsu...... smile.gif

Almost forgot about Atsu,he isn't getting playing time at everton,we may as well bring him back i guess. Wonder who actually has a chance of breaking through though. Kakuta has been getting a lot of minutes at rayo. He may still have a future with us,unlikely as it sounds hmm.gif

Chelsea close in on £7.5m Andrej Kramaric deal as Rijeka sporting director confirms west London club have made 'formal offer'

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...s_campaign=1490

£7.5mil deal we seldom goes wrong with 7mil deal. brows.gif
*
Looks to be a coup, but it's a bit hard to recall the last Croatian player from their home league who made it big in the epl, apart from modric?

Impressed with Kramaric's goal tally though. Definitely knows where the net is.

On a side note, the CAS has rejected barca's appeal and upheld their transfer ban for signing underage players. Now that's a surprise. I was fully expecting them to overturn the whole verdict, what with them being the 'guardians' of beautiful footie and everything.

Wasn't too long ago that we were branded the enemies of football over the whole kakuta fiasco now was it?
It's quite reassuring to know that we were found innocent and clubs like Barcelona will now be under much more scrutiny when they attempt to snap up young players.

I Have nothing against lampsy staying in city's colours,he's done more than enough to earn the fans' respect imho. If he feels there's still a chance to cut it at the very top for that little while longer, then why not? smile.gif

Anyway, does anyone else miss the lung-busting runs of ramires?i think he'd be terrific to bulldoze his way through that spurs midfield, with matic holding. Cesc pushed upfront to add more creativity to our attack. flex.gif

yep. and prefer him to start > Mikel. Mikel .. just lacks talent.. even if he was having a good game, his standard is not up to par to the rest of the team.
*
Mikel is a very useful squad member vs physical teams, that's for sure. But rami on top form is one heck of a player and i hope jose has reassured him that he has a big role to play for the rest of the season.

Note: Huhu lampsy winning it for them. Oh well. Just need to match their result now. tongue.gif
