Special thanks to everton who took points off citeh.
Man of the match is a bit difficult to choose..would love to give it to costa, but i think he should share the award with zouma |

QUOTE(lol~ @ Jan 11 2015, 01:00 AM) How bout cech?save some deadly attempt in 1st half. And hopefully next week arsenal can win over city Good shout for Cech as well,he was very2 solid in the first half. We would be stupid to let him go on the cheap to any team.QUOTE(gry @ Jan 11 2015, 01:08 AM) Spot on. One thing I love about courtois is he's so commanding in the area and he practically never flaps at crosses. He's only misjudged one or two corners at most the whole season, and yes I've been keeping track.Everyone was curious to see if he's an upgrade on petr, and so far i'd have to say yes. |

QUOTE(lol~ @ Jan 18 2015, 12:43 AM) I think he just sort of brushed it off jose's hand as he passed by. Looked like he didn't really want to though. Motm is fabrepass for me. Some of his passing and vision was out of this world today. Superb performance. Note: Oh my i can't understand a word oscar's saying in the post-match interview |

QUOTE(yokoloco @ Jan 19 2015, 01:43 AM) I don't think he called jose. I think he practically invited him over for a home-cooked meal and a heart to heart bromance meeting! Hoho just had a feeling about this game. City were there for the taking, the fixture list was kind to them during the festive season.the minute they encountered a 'decent' everton they floundered, and today arsenal really put the boot in them. Surprised at wenger's tactics. Whoever thought they actually had a plan B. This post has been edited by Kerplunk: Jan 19 2015, 02:01 AM |

After our perfect game vs the swans,it's nice to see our lead being extended to a 5 point cushion.
Find it a bit odd though about the Salah situation with his agent claiming one thing and jose insisting he's going nowhere. It does look like our RW options will remain for now so Schurrle really needs to pull his socks up from now till the end of the season. |

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Jan 19 2015, 08:45 AM) not that Jose said he cant leave, but on the line that if he leave Jose want a replacement, so I think Jose is open for the possibilities. Yep sure sounds like he's leaving all doors open. What did you think about oscar's performance? His finishing was topnotch but some of his passing really went out the window Can't wait for the trip to anfield, pool have been on a good run of form. They're going to take the match really2 seriously and it'll be interesting to see how much rotation will be going round the squad from anfield,to the title showdown with city at the bridge. I'd hazard a guess the fringe players will only get a runout in our home fa cup tie against bradford. |

QUOTE(syazwan @ Jan 21 2015, 06:42 AM) What irks me is our performance and yes i dun understand this kind of mentality from jose..trust issue..no wonder la youth susah mau lepas Good observation, some players deserve a chance or three, even if its from the bench. For instance I don't think there would've been much harm with trying schurrle, seeing the outcome and the fact that it's over two legs.I dont mind if we get this kind of performance if salah & rami starting but the fact that jose will try to squuezeeee our best player week in week out really dissapoints me coz we have a good squad depth to be honest. Just tak dapat main je Overall what's disappointing was how our performance deteriorated after the first half, which rarely happens with a mourinho team. I was expecting us to retain possession a bit better after the break (a goal would be a bonus, really) but man we were atrocious. We made a strikerless pool look like real madrid at times, and that in itself says a lot about our performance. What i don't understand is how we can go from a superb 5 star showing against swansea,to..this. 2 turning points in the game which we failed to capitalise on were actually those 2 delightful passes from cesc which eden just failed to bring under control. Had he succeeded,he'd be through on goal. It also has to be said that matic had an absolute shocker today. I think he was imagining himself as messi a few times and promptly gave the ball away. He's been immense thus far,but maybe the lad needs a break? Mikel was much more careful and precise in possession and interceptions. Not something we see everyday now is it? The main positives for me was the performance of felipe luis at LB and then we finally got a pen after being denied the last..what was it like 5 stonewall incidents in the past? QUOTE(Ichighost @ Jan 21 2015, 08:52 AM) Cuadrado coming in would be interesting. Provided we get a decent fee for schurrle of course. Not sure if he's been given a fair crack at redeeming himself, but the chances which jose gave him were definitely not 'maximised,' to put it lightly.Salah will be shipped out soon too,me thinks. He's like the last player jose would utilise, for some reason. Suddenly i wish KDB was still here |

QUOTE(DeadlyPollo @ Jan 22 2015, 10:21 PM) QUOTE(lol~ @ Jan 22 2015, 10:41 PM) talk about a spoilt weekend..darn. we always get short shrift from astro when it comes to games like these. anyway, i think the douglas costa rumours might have some legs. the last few brazilians we've signed seem to be big hits, with the likes of rami, oscar, willian, and even luiz before he left, playing important roles within the team. no harm adding more spice to our samba flavour i suppose looks like salah may be the sacrificial lamb in this one. |

Now some reports filtering in saying fiorentina have accepted our improved £23 million bid. Huhu wonder what their coach has to say now about this one.

QUOTE(yokoloco @ Jan 24 2015, 11:12 PM) Haha yep sounds about right. Fa and astro in cahoots Wow remy and didier together..sounds really attacking. Last chance saloon for salah it seems. Schurrle missing is highly conspicuous, gotta say. Not sure if it's him or salah on the way out. |
