Spot on. One thing I love about courtois is he's so commanding in the area and he practically never flaps at crosses. He's only misjudged one or two corners at most the whole season,and yes I've been keeping track.

Everyone was curious to see if he's an upgrade on petr,and so far i'd have to say yes.

Hoho just had a feeling about this game. City were there for the taking,the fixture list was kind to them during the festive season.the minute they encountered a 'decent' everton they floundered, and today arsenal really put the boot in them.

After our perfect game vs the swans,it's nice to see our lead being extended to a 5 point cushion.

Find it a bit odd though about the Salah situation with his agent claiming one thing and jose insisting he's going nowhere. It does look like our RW options will remain for now so Schurrle really needs to pull his socks up from now till the end of the season.

Yep sure sounds like he's leaving all doors open. What did you think about oscar's performance? His finishing was topnotch but some of his passing really went out the window . Pretty sure jose kept him on for his goal threat more than anything else. Willian was really2 unlucky not to get a goal though.

Can't wait for the trip to anfield,pool have been on a good run of form. They're going to take the match really2 seriously and it'll be interesting to see how much rotation will be going round the squad from anfield,to the title showdown with city at the bridge. I'd hazard a guess the fringe players will only get a runout in our home fa cup tie against bradford.

Good observation,some players deserve a chance or three,even if its from the bench. For instance I don't think there would've been much harm with trying schurrle, seeing the outcome and the fact that it's over two legs.

Overall what's disappointing was how our performance deteriorated after the first half,which rarely happens with a mourinho team. I was expecting us to retain possession a bit better after the break (a goal would be a bonus,really) but man we were atrocious. We made a strikerless pool look like real madrid at times,and that in itself says a lot about our performance.

What i don't understand is how we can go from a superb 5 star showing against swansea,to..this.

2 turning points in the game which we failed to capitalise on were actually those 2 delightful passes from cesc which eden just failed to bring under control. Had he succeeded,he'd be through on goal.

It also has to be said that matic had an absolute shocker today. I think he was imagining himself as messi a few times and promptly gave the ball away. He's been immense thus far,but maybe the lad needs a break? Mikel was much more careful and precise in possession and interceptions. Not something we see everyday now is it?

The main positives for me was the performance of felipe luis at LB and then we finally got a pen after being denied the last..what was it like 5 stonewall incidents in the past?

Cuadrado coming in would be interesting. Provided we get a decent fee for schurrle of course. Not sure if he's been given a fair crack at redeeming himself,but the chances which jose gave him were definitely not 'maximised,' to put it lightly.
