How much ATF fluid is drained each time for the Persona? I drained mine the other day, and it was definitely more than 4Ls, but I'm not sure how much more is it. I've added up to 4.9L of ATF already, and I cannot really fathom the dip stick reading after numerous shiftings and wiping.

Edit: I went around the net trying to find an answer before this, and it was either 5L or 4L or 4.5L. With the car started and after shifting through the gears, wiping and leaving the stick in for a few good seconds, the level is just slightly around a quarter below the max cold line, which is perfect. But I am in doubt because when I added the ATF the level didn't seem to be changing at all.

Without the engine started, the ATF reading covers both the max of cold and hot, so this is not really ideal, but then again the measurement of the ATF should be taken with the car started and after shifting through all of the gears according to the manual.

4.9litre? wouldn't that overfilled? usually i read 4-4.5 litre on internet.
last week sent my car change atf, that mechanic did not even start car and gear still left in P when he's filling. he fill-up using 1 bottle of 4 litre, and i saw some atf leak down from beside, might because gear left in P?

I'm not entirely sure either... Proton didn't include the drain amount in the manual . I only realised that it was more than 4Ls after the 4L engine oil bottle I was using overflowed, but I didn't bother to find out how much extra was there . I went out just now though, and I checked the level at working temperature and it's touching the max hot line, so for now I believe that the ATF level is most likely around 5L if it's just normal drain with some extra time allocated for the ATF to continue dripping .

Edit: I think it might be leaking cause he poured too much ATF in one go. The air that fills the space in the gearbox when it's draining comes out the same way the ATF goes in.

wow, assuming 4 litre bottle already leaked out some, my atf is now 500ml lesser at least..

Is there any way we can check back the old brochures / specification? I think his one is not H-Line

I think B-line does not have the electronic adjust for side mirror. You have to adjust using that stick on the door.

Actually I didn't really intend to change my car, but just nice my neighbour wants to change his car now.

And having previously bought my current Proton Iswara (current age = 19) from him, 5 years ago, I know he did really a great job taking care of his car (at least the engines). That's why I've got the thought to buy his 5-years-old persona from him (he's getting Nissan Sentra)

Anyone know that where can I get a aftermarket PIGGYBACK or Standalone ECU (Forget it if it's costly).

I am facing a real BAD UNDER-POWER ISSUE for my Persona Elegance (PE) IAFM H-line, auto.

Was trying hard to source for any chances to upgrade the engine but was told that nothing can do much due to the ori 32bit ECU. Most aftermarket kits was built for 16bits ECU.

Believe the problem came from the ECU setting because I've tried myself driving different Persona and can conclude that only my PE facing such bad situation, even my fren driving a 1.3 Saga also complaint about my PE 1.6 =(

Driving uphill to Genting but seeing stock Kancil or Viva (not criticizing the others) overtake me, IMBA feeling you knows, and yet nothing i can do much. =|

Appreciate if anyone can share any useful experience or perhaps someone know any master can do tuning for Ori 32bit ECU, in PROTON or any other outlet.

             

Mod doesnt goes right due to the stock behavior, and what I suspect is that the ECU fooling around.

I wont recommend to add PIGGYBACK because the powerful stock ECU bahaavior that it'll overwrite our setting after sometime, unless you have enough budget to add a standalone ECU but it doesnt worth the cost.

What mod have you done?

Normally the crank pulley and exhaust will bring the most impact if everything is still under stock-situation.
Unless you added a new cam and ECU only the rest will help much.

That's why I am stuck now with the problem i suspect came from the ECU setting itself.

You can try to go for adding throttle controller, quite helpful.

U can try do PADT, since piggyback such a waste with 32BIT ECU
