Mine doesn't screech, but it produces a loud low frequency noise + vibration when it's cold and about to stop. Totally silent with no vibration when it's warmed up.

My right absorber mounting mati liao. No wonder these days the kok sound from the pedal area is appearing through the steering as well. I'm planning to change the front springs to something stiffer since the absorbers will have to be taken out.
I recall someone in the Persona thread saying that he used standard Satria Neo CPS springs which are stiffer and compatible with the Persona. Does anyone know anything about this? This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Nov 18 2015, 06:44 PM |

QUOTE(ziggy87 @ Nov 18 2015, 07:13 PM) when your kok sound come out? my car sometimes got kok sounds when i turn my steering a lot and car moving, example like when parking. not sure if it's the driveshaft Over bumps, when driving up/down car park ramps with "arrows". Previously the kok sound would appear over sudden bumps or when turning, but now even on a straight line the sound is there along with the vibration. |

Anyone changed to Evo 6 brake master pump for their Persona? Based on the photos on mudah it looks like it can fit but the strut bar will have to be removed everytime to add brake fluid and etc.

QUOTE(benson92 @ Nov 19 2015, 11:48 AM) Did you change to evo 6 brake servo? I'm afraid that it might be too strong. This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Nov 19 2015, 12:10 PM |

QUOTE(benson92 @ Nov 19 2015, 02:48 PM) nope, mine is H-Line so the servo is better and braking power is ok for me.. Mine is B-Line Persona, so have to change cause braking power is quite bad. but if u dont mind then better dont change it unless it affects ur driving pleasure QUOTE(J-keyLudacris @ Nov 19 2015, 04:37 PM) Your ABS still working? QUOTE(benson92 @ Nov 19 2015, 05:56 PM) I see an offer of RM600 for the Persona H-Line disc braking system (arms and all), but I'm budgeting for brake servo, shock absorbers and a new head unit right now |

QUOTE(J-keyLudacris @ Nov 19 2015, 06:44 PM) Yes, abs ebd still functioning. I see. I wish mine is high-line in the first place so I don't have to deal with the stupid rear drum brakes. Better than stock. Double layer brake servo sure better than single layer. My stock brake servo koyak, need to replace, so I straight upgrade to double layer. Mine also high line Looks like the RM600 offer for the Persona rear arms + complete brake system and installation is gone |

I used some Insulflex on my boot mainly for aesthetic purposes. Doesn't do any difference to how to boot sounds when it closes. I didn't put a big layer over the boot, just cut and stuffed it between the gaps of the boot.

Bought a full set of Sapura Pro Ride Sport Absorbers + Springs, got the Evo 6 brake servo as well as new Proton absorber mountings. Can't get them installed today though cause Zordaq is fully booked.

Changed to the Sapura Pro Ride shock absorbers today.
Bad news so far: the front left is higher than the right by almost 1 finger. The car is also much lower at the front than expected, with about ~2 finger and <1 finger gap for the front left and right respectively. Good news: The ride is still pretty damn comfortable. Cornering is... slightly better now. The set is definitely not very stiff compared to the OEM shocks and springs. I don't know what percentage to give for the improvement, but the car stays flat enough to my liking during corners for now. If my memory serves me right, it's kinda Suprima-like now in terms of cornering stiffness. Still waiting for the day to get the Evo 6 brake servo installed. I don't really feel that excited anymore about it though cause the people at the workshop have been talking about how some tried to use Evo 6 on their cars and after installation and all, it doesn't work. "The brake cannot be pressed", or so they say. My feelings so far: Half regretting the purchase now as going for IMP "Comfort" Absorbers + my original springs may have been a better combination. The seller and Zordaq told me to give it a few days first to see if the car eventually goes to the same height for the front. I'm hoping it does cause I'm not really interested in spending my time waiting for the shocks / springs to be replaced. This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Nov 23 2015, 07:29 PM |

QUOTE(benson92 @ Nov 24 2015, 10:09 AM) I see. Yeah they don't really have enough people. I would suggest that you call Zaki to verify it the noise is a problem or not. I know mine didn't have any weird noise at all after the change. It was even done by a foreman that is the least experienced among them. This post has been edited by TDUEnthusiast: Nov 24 2015, 10:20 AM |

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Nov 24 2015, 11:45 AM) Previously I complained about screeching or squeling sound when braking at low speed just after changing my new brake pads. I google searched and found about brake bed in or conditioning method. I did this , speed up to 100kmh, press on brake pedal fully , but not until the ABS is activated, slow the car down until u get 20kmh speed, don't stop completely, speed up again until 100kmh. Repeat this 8-10 times. But make sure to do it on an empty stretch without cars. It does significantly reduced the braking squeal and high pitch screeching sound. |

QUOTE(szaku89 @ Nov 24 2015, 01:06 PM) Yes yes. Before this quite loud. Now it become like more dull. Less sound. After few minutes driving no screeching at all. Nope. Mine has a low frequency noise and vibration when cold. The foreman of zordaq removed my brake insulation layer yesterday and now it sounds less solid. Kinda regret asking them to open the brakes cause I just wanted then to re adjust the insulation which wasn't seated properly.Your persona has screeching sound too? |
