Hi All,
I am pursuing my phd in nanoelectronic materials in a public university in singapore.
Since there are limited positions/high competitions in obtaining a faculty position, i am looking at non academic jobs. Besides research related jobs, i hope to venture more into operation/sales & marketing of high tech industries.
Do you think it is possible? Any friends/colleagues of you who do that?
Thanks

personal view, phd not really useful for working except when you heading for promotion or you can sigh some document IR.
so just use your degree to find a job with entry salary, i think no much ppl really need PHD in this industry.

Do you think it is possible? Any friends/colleagues of you who do that? Yes, it is possible. Just because you are pursuing a PhD doesn't mean you cannot find a job in sales and marketing.
