That really makes me think about whether to get LED Mecha keyboard (Ducky, Corsair RGB) vs Non-LED (Filco) or not. Can the spoil LED be replaceable by our self if warranty finish?
LED is so nice yo. *aaahhhhhhh*

So, if you guys remember my post about modding my BWU original, there will be a change in plan. After discussing with my sister, she said it's better to just change the spring(the weird feeling of the keys might be something to do with the springs), change out all the LEDs, add o-rings, lube it and perhaps add sticker to the switch because she is not some hardcore typist.

She said it will be better for me to save the money and buy a Korean custom kb in future. Is it ok?
*
Ya, since the project is to restore a good keyboard for your sister...
Your sister is right, you should save money and buy a Korean custom kb for your sister in the future.
It's cost effective too.

kthxbye.

Hi guys..

I just got my 1st mech keyboard, Filco TKL Blue switch over the weekend (Yay!)

Anyway, how do you type on this keyboard anyway?
Do you guys bottomed out the key or simply until the click sound?
*
Type fast, then passed tactile actuation or bump.
Type slow or lazy type, press till bottomed out.

Gonna need to change the habit then.

New RealKey technology by Cherry promises to shorten the key debounce delay from an average of 20ms to just 1ms.

Please watch the video to understand further.

I noticed that many sellers don't have stock for ducky zero. They don't even know when will the next batch of stock arrive. Are there any specific reasons as to why they aren't bringing in stocks?

Anyway, I think the next batch might be a little more expensive considering how much RM has depreciate. There goes my plan of getting a keyboard before further price hike from GST.
*
If those sellers don't have stock, you need to find other sellers than those.
Everyone is waiting for stocks.
If you really like Ducky Zero, you can source from oversea.

Hey guys, haven't lurked in here since forever. So, how was that Topre Heaven Keyboard that came out last year?

Also, what is the recommendation for a good budget mech keyboard right now?
*
Topre's Type Heaven is a affordable Topre series.
Well, Type Heaven is designed in Topre Inc (Japan), but manufactured in China.
So, it's different from those Happy Hacking and Realforce which are manufactured in Japan.

The reason why it's low cost?
It uses ABS keycaps (Font Printing: Laser) rather than conventional dye-sub PBT in other Topre like Happy Hacking or Realforce.
Note: A common set of Topre dye-sub PBT keycaps set cost >RM300.

However, the PCB and Topre switch (45g) are made in Japan and manufactured by Topre Inc itself.
So, internal hardware is very reliable.

At the end, typing feel is still similar to Realforce.

For extra information, CMStorm Novatouch which released last year also is made in China.
The internal of PCB and Topre switch (45g) still are made in Topre Inc, Japan.
