But if one chose HHKB, won't one be wondering what's the real hype over FC660C?
Assuming first time experience with Topre of course.
*
PFU Happy Hacking, Leopold FC660C and Topre Realforce all are using different layout.
The similarities are all using 6x ABS spacebar. laugh.gif

If you need of independent arrow keys and want a compact keyboard, FC660C is suitable for you.
I guess HHKB is better of course because of the layout and arrangement useful, keys needed by a typist and a programmer.
Layout always matters.

For Topre Realforce, it has a very well design of the case, it's easy to disassemble and assemble compared to the others.
Perfectly made. wub.gif

what is the difference other than its badge under ducky ?
*
It's the area of distribution. The keyboard still made in Japan.

For instance,
Ark (A) - distributed by Japan also
Ducky Channel (DK) - distributed in Taiwan
Leopold - distributed in S.Korea
EliteKeyboards (EK) - distributed in North America

The LED color of numlock/caplock/control and keycaps technology may varies depends on the series.

guys. I have a question, which of this TKL is better in terms of build quality. Ducky 2087 or QuickFire Rapid ? both are near similar price with the ducky costing around rm10 or 20 more exp. wanna get my 1st mech kb , though i did have research on ducky's quality is much better.
*
Both are nice. QFR already end of life.
Why you don't choose the best among all OEM TKL keyboard, Filco?
Filco Majestouch 2 TKL

yae, QFR more than 2 years adi. On a tight budget, Filco would need me to fork out at least rm50 +.
*
Think as you bought 1 keyboard use for many years.
It's worth to get Filco. smile.gif

If you really on tight budget, then get the 1 you wanted.
In the future, you will buy Filco also. sweat.gif

I doubt that is the case. I always leave the donation as default i.e. usd$2. BunnyLake is an honorable man and does not just give dibs because of petty stuff like this le.

So far I am 2/5 when it comes to raffles system so I am pretty sure it is totally random.
*
So, if next time I interested in any keycaps draw, then I put donation as default. laugh.gif
Thanks.

Mechanical keyboard roundup 2014
http://hothardware.com/reviews/know-your-t...boards-compared

=^-^=; good read for new buyers. it doesn't cover all mkbs e.g. ducky, filco... but still a good read.

the comparison list  smile.gif
- Razer BlackWidow Ultimate
- Roccat Ryos MK Pro
- Corsair Gaming K65 RGB
- Tt eSports Poseidon ZX
- Cooler Master QuickFire Rapid-i
*
Long time no see. wub.gif

Good read.

QUOTE
However, we can say that Cherry MX key switches are indeed of higher quality than knock-offs like the Kailh switch found in Tt eSports' Poseidon ZX. That's not to say Kailh switches are bad, just that you can discern a difference when going from one to the other.

Razer BWU and Tt Poseidon are using Kailh switches.
Still, Cherry is the best! flex.gif

Too bad, the review no compare with Ducky. wub.gif

I'm looking to get a new keyboard for my workplace, the current work ergonomics are killing me.

I'm thinking of getting a 60% layout for portability and to my knowledge there's only the poker 2, kbparadise v60, ducky mini, filco minila and the hhkb available locally. I just have no idea what to go for. Are there any others I should consider? Layout's all the same right, just the switches and build quality difference?

Considering the fact that my office is an open plan I don't think anything with clicks or loud bottoming out sounds will be... acceptable. lol.

I use a ducky tkl mx black at home.

tldr; looking for a 60% mkb for work, no idea what to choose.

HHKB Type-S modded 55g (White casing).

75% might be one of my favourite layout. I already sold my HHKB because I can't live without the dedicated arrow key and function key. It's just a hassle and impractical to me to use a Fn+number rows/Fn+arrow cluster instead of just having dedicated key.
*
So, what keyboard you using now?
