Hi guys,

I've just got me a K702, should be arriving soon. I've heard a lot of forum members (here and elsewhere) say it's very comparable to the K701, anyone has experience with both? Any cons in going with the K702?

For me I prefer the look of the K702, and the detachable cable is a big win

Anyone also bought K553 from Massdrop???

Anyone know any desktop amp around RM500 or less which may suit Q701?

Increase your budget for couple of hundred ringgit, you can look for Schiit Asgard desktop amp.. IMO, It's the Most suitable amp paired with Akg Q701. I still remember how difficult to get amp compliment the sound of Q701 synergy..

Another suitable amp is Little Dot Tube amp.. And yes, for the both suggested amp its pre-owned Price to suit your budget..

Just received my K7xx. Gonna give it a listen tonight.

Just received them after waiting for 2 weeks. I hope it's worth the wait and money.

soundmagic? thats way out of the k7xx league, maybe it will win in some small details, but on overall view, K7xx is the bomb

the k7xx needs an amp to sound good, right?
can my dacport do the job?

Yes, mainly the treble will sound like 'pecah' and bass will be light. That was from iPhone 4 and BlackBerry Z10.

Just a cheap amp will do maybe a FiiO E6, it needs some extra juice to run. No need DAC if you're planning to use outdoors because most of the resolution will be lost in the ambient noise like driving cars and other people's voice. If you plug into music players however sounds a bit better. IPod nano sounds ok, a bit better than the phones I tried with.

But as always, your mileage may vary. Test first before buying anything. Can try visiting jaben or Starspickers.

Anyone had any idea how the AKG K7XX from Massdrop works? As in the delivery to m'sia. Anyone purchasing that for this batch K7XX?

what's the next upgrade for AKG K242HD? or the current upgraded version for this model?
