I'm experiencing this weird bass problem on my AKG. Last night I popped in Eva Cassidy's Songbird and the first song (#01 Fields of Gold), and the background acoustic guitars creates distortions especially when Eva is singing. It sounded as if my AKG's drivers failed to push air fast enough to keep in pace with the singer.

It's definately distortion due to some bad recordings or whatever. Running unamp easily spots them already.

songbird, my lossless songbird is not only filled with distortion, its noise all the way. checked freq response, its has never been compressed before, so no mp3>lossless crack la.

IMHO, the k701 on my head with the amp on my table was plugged to an RS1 before. The RS1 has the impact, but it was like..example, 5V for 0.1ms while the k701 has 4.5V for 0.4ms. (exaggerated values maybe).

RS1 is dem fast, but in reality, no snares nor drums can hit that fast, real drums hit abit longer than that, but its no doubt FUN! but stronger, same concept as pulse, because its short it has more impact.

RS1 K701, about the same level of BASS if not the same, just the type of bass different.
