The effective cut is prob 12-13% more since they don't pay EPF/CPF

Hi jitshiong, thanks for the response. sorry i didn't phrase that correctly, engineering is always my highest priority esp in EE Eng but what i was trying to say is that i dont mind trying a non-engineering role (but still in engineering field) such as procurement,logistics if opportunity arises.

My scenario is that i only started working August 2014 and is still with the same company; wanting to file in for Year 2014.

My colleague informed me that although i worked for less than 183 days in year 2014, i am still with the same company thus i am considered as a tax resident and shall only pay progressive tax rate as locals; and not 15% flat rate.

She claimed that the flat 15% is only applicable if i left the company by working less than 6 months.

Please advise.

If you eat in kopitiam, definitely not good food la. Even in KL, if you eat in hawkers (which mostly cooked by banglas and myanmars), is not good also.

If you eat in restaurants, confirmed better than KL. Even McD is better taste than KL, trust me.
