QUOTE(chess_gal @ Jan 30 2010, 06:10 PM) EVerynight? Erm, honestly I don't buy that. Are they that free? I doubt so, last I heard my peers alike are working their ass off in KL. I guess if u actually do track statistically in 365 days I'd think a fair amount would be about 1/5 to 1/10 days la for them, Since it's still alot of money |

Y'know.. students.. are a misguided bunch. I was too! And somehow I'm very sure that most of us were misguided until we started to work, then somehow all that naivety and 'arrogance' of our student days just suddenly gets shattered like tempered glass, poof into millions of tiny glass particles.
Students, being students are mostly presumptious, and eager to make a mark, make money (oh so the thought of it, and the freedom of work!!!).. Ahh... the great con of our college years, how we were herded to aim for one misery after another, the delusion that perhaps somewhere after those miseries lies the door to the good life. Yet we trod on unaware, fueled by the ambition of youth, going past misery after misery. At one point its bound to hit us that the misery that is coming, is just going to be worse, never better. When that realization sinks in to that part of our lives, we finally learnt that it's best we remain content with the misery we currently have, instead of opting for a misery that is uncertain in the future. Conclusion : No one knows why Deloitte is viewed negatively IMO. I like deloitte. I think food around the area is great |

QUOTE(Sesshoumaru @ Mar 18 2010, 05:37 PM) You can apply right now. Just let them know of your non-available days for interviews like exams. You don't need to know After you graduate + waiting to be called for interview + results + time gap towards the next intake = self-explanatory. Unless you don't mind the waiting. I know I don't... now. Why can post during working hour one? |

QUOTE(Kaerna @ Mar 20 2010, 01:38 PM) So far I could categorise into this : Banks - highly dependant on the location of the said bank, adn the type of bank u're dealing with. Banks/Financial institution (or others under strict regulation by BNM) - Lots of stuff to do, but usually minimal problems in performing the audit itself. Japanese firm - Records are usually well kept and their management is really helpful. Unfortunately they have insanely short deadlines as well. Medium size chinaman firm - @#$%^&*( Jap firms : nvr done one Med size chinaman firms, done a few, all a pain. |

QUOTE(Topace111 @ Mar 20 2010, 07:17 PM) I like outstation clients (my best one at melaka, heaven even work until 3am, the only job that i highly anticipate every morning). Client efficent and friendly, best combo ever. My main client is actually a construction/property entity, though I'm more focused on the Prop Dev side of things. 5/12 of my audit life is spent there lol.Current one : Property Development and Investment Property. Before I put any "provoking" comments, anybody care to share a few experience on such fields ? PD companies can get pretty complicated and troublesome if the client is not competent as PDs are full of huge schedules for all sorts of costs, and allocation of shared costs / interest expenses / general costs can be headache and rather questionable at times. Generally you also get funny issues with buyers that forget to claim their deposits in so-and-so resulting in matters raised under the unclaimed monies act. And over the next few years PD will have a massive impact as a result of IC Intepretation 15 regarding recognition of revenue for property development, so it's a pretty interesting field to work in right now, especially during the transition period XD And since it deals with land and high value property, you see quite alot of things people don't tell u. |
