QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Jan 2 2015, 12:34 AM) Who bought this players? So who did you blame when Chelsea lost to Newcastle? Who was at fault? Players or mourinho?Who set the formation? Who doing the team talk & training? Tell me who to blame now? When it comes to individual errors of course it's the players fault. So if You take an exam if u fail then u blame your parents? If you murder someone you blame your parents? Not yourself? |

QUOTE(undentifyxd @ Jan 2 2015, 01:03 AM) Ospina is still injured IIRC. Even more hopeless. Then again Martinez isn't bad. Wouldn't mind if Wenger were to give him an opportunity of a run of a few games and drop Sczezsny. This post has been edited by sigheart: Jan 2 2015, 01:32 AM |

QUOTE(max_cavalera @ Jan 4 2015, 03:30 PM) A new cb and dm will stabilize wenger fc greatly. No meed waste on cavani as giroud wellbeck and sanchez already good enuf Why so complicated buy cb buy dm buy striker or buy whatever nonsense?Just get a new Russian billionaire owner and just pay off the FA and buy all the Cups and League titles every year. Problem solved. Oh ya can even afford to put monkeys like Casa as Manager in name and let them syok sendiri play real life Championship Manager also can. There. Casa happy, everyone happy. WINRAR solution. |

QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Jan 4 2015, 05:17 PM) Haha.. Someone is very angry cause Arsenal for the 1st time is not in top 4 in new year. LOL Hahaha angry? Grow up dude. This mess was caused by AW & he needs to leave. Simple as that Thanks for bringing the extra amusement and entertainment for our NY celebrations. I don't care if AW needs to leave or stay. Like I said. I support the club not individuals. If they choose to sack AW then fine if not then its fine as well. You need to understand its not always about individuals. Half season and you are jumping to conclusions? Its the result at the end of the year that matters not by new year lmao I guess in your Championship Manager game they award league positions based on where you stand on New Years day LOL You are not new to football yet simple things you fail to comprehend. Grow up dude and get out of your virtual silo. Not good for health you know fantasize too much. This post has been edited by sigheart: Jan 4 2015, 05:26 PM |

This is what I hate sometimes. Players always trying the fanciful side foot finishes. Just blast it FFS.
Campbell earlier and now Theo. |

I really don't see anything special about Campbell. Good player but a bench player at best for now. I don't see how is he better than anyone we've got that can play across the midfield.

Campbell earlier Theo twice. If we take a shot for every one on one missed in this game we would be drunk by now.

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Jan 5 2015, 03:08 AM) does campbell know how to shoot? seems like every ball he takes a shot at has no power and direction -.- I really don't get the hype about Campbell. He has been ordinary every time I've seen him. Each time we don't play well AST people will be grilling Arsene for not playing Campbell. I doubt he would've made much difference. The hype is only from people from AST that is... This post has been edited by sigheart: Jan 5 2015, 03:13 AM |

QUOTE(xDjWanNabex @ Jan 5 2015, 03:20 AM) Probably only the arsenal fans know about him. rest would have forgotten about him after the world cup.. Or he just isn't as good as the select few people on here think.I certainly am not convinced he will be a starter for us in the near future. Good and decent player but chances are he will be moved on like the rest who were just like him before this. |

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Jan 5 2015, 03:37 AM) I would give him more game time before making judgements about him. He only has like 2 or 3 appearances so far? Far too little to tell if a player is capable or at best ordinary.. Sanogo and Akpom were brought on when we were chasing games. They are strikers and the position they play itself compared to Campbell is a no brainer that they bring more goal threat than Campbell.Tbh, those subs that AW made previously where he brings on players like Sanogo, Maitlnand-Niles/Akpom or when he could sub Chamberlain(instead of making Chamberlain play the whole match and end up being worn out) or also when he takes Sanchez off, he usually brings on Monreal/Gibbs instead, I would very much prefer those chances to be given to Campbell. At least let him play more games, and for a developing player, consistency is key and consistency comes with more game time. Then at least we can finally see what Campbell's qualities are. Right now for me, I can't tell if Campbell is good or bad because I don't even see him play at all. Campbell should be given more game time. If he really is not up to standard then well, the bench is for him.. Monreal/Gibbs/Coquelin were brought on when we were protecting one or two goal leads. Next thing we know if he goes on and brings Campbell and we concede you will be blaming Arsene for not bringing on a defender to protect the leads. Maitland Niles? Since when was Maitland Niles preferred to Campbell? Maitland Niles came on for Ramsey at half time vs Galatasaray but Campbell played a full 90 that game. Maitland Niles came on against Newcastle in the 91st min. lol. I guess if Campbell came on he would able to impress with a couple mins left? You can say he could've brought Campbell in earlier for that game but 3-1 up until 88 mins only we scored the fourth with 3 points at stake and gamble on an unknown entity like Campbell? No thank you. I'd rather not take the risk. Sometimes the situation in games plays a part in whether a player gets playing time or not and probably its a bit unfortunate for Campbell that we have been pretty sh*t lately thus limiting his chances of picking up game time here and there. I have seen Campbell in the WC playing for Costa Rica and when he was playing regularly for Olympiakos in the UCL as well. Credit to him he has some well taken goals but nothing much else apart from that. Even less impressive in an Arsenal shirt. He had 90 mins against Galatasaray and he had another 90 mins today. All I see is just a decent player who is not better than any of the players around him he is fighting for a place in the first 11. This post has been edited by sigheart: Jan 5 2015, 04:16 AM |

QUOTE(LordDenning @ Jan 5 2015, 04:42 AM) I know the situation was called for the choices of the subs that were made. I am not criticising those subs that Wenger made btw. He's the manager, I am not. lol thats the same as saying what is the point of installing air bags in cars because when you get into an accident that bad in the first place the worse that could happen (in this case the driver dies) would've happen anyway since air bags won't save you also from really terrible accidents. But in some games as you mentioned, we went defensive but we still conceded. In fact I noticed that we became worst when we changed to a defensive set up to protect our 1 goal or so lead (because our defending has been ridiculous esp in the closing stages of the game). So my thought was if we brought on Campbell, the worse that could happen would have happen any way. and as for Sanogo, I will take Campbell any day. I just cant stand Sanogo. IF Campbell was on, I would push Alexis or some one else to be the striker. On that note, who would you prefer? Sanogo or Campbell? hmm. and Campbell did pretty well against Galatasaray what. But it's also true that Galatasaray was absolute rubbish, but I'm not going to take credit away from him. Hence which brings me to what I said earlier, I hope that Campbell gets more game time. Only when he is given the chance to play more games would I dare rate him as an Arsenal player. If we are chasing games with little time left when the opponent is sitting back and packing the box I would prefer Sanogo solely because he has the height to win headers. Bringing Campbell on and shifting Sanchez as striker is definitely an option but tippy tappy and smart movement IMO will be less effective than going Route 1 with the amount of bodies in the box. Not saying it wouldn't work but most of the time it has to be eye of the needle stuff especially the passing, low crosses and through balls which is really tough. |
