You can see a lot of content providers (reviewers, youtubers, movie producers) all like to use a Mac because mainly of the optimisation of the software and hardware.

True with that pricing you could get a MBP or iMac, but then you won't be able to do mobile stuffs right?
*
True... but when I first placed my order for my first Iphone 6 16GB and 6 Plus 16GB on Singapore online store on September, I was like, "Man, Im paying Rm3K++ for a 16GB 6 Plus!" shocking.gif Its crazy to be paying more than Rm3k for a smartphone.

Phones will always be around that price I guess. I remember getting a Dopod 8 years back also costs about RM3K. Imagine that time it's still Windows Mobile.

Yup, the so called hi end smartphone that time, that is until the touch phones. sweat.gif

Anyway, back to the discussion because I think we've went OOT.

Just wondering, I've got about 4 months left on my contract, any idea can renew?

Funny thing is i called Maxis on this and they said any contracts with 4 months or less can get new iphone without any penalties as the contract will be cancelled and a new contract will come into place when we purchase the new phone. The CS didnt say anything about extensions to current contract, it was a straightforward cancel current and get a new contract.

The 4 months is added to your new contract. Ie 12 months contract period + 4 months existing.

This is correct. Ask the CS to confirm when you pay money/CC that time. It's done on the spot.

My case, ex iPhone 5 was launch late in 2012, contract signed about Dec. Mine was auto waived 1 month when buy iPhone 6+ in Nov.
My friend iPhone 5 was bought much later around Jan/Feb 2013. Bought iPhone 6+ in Dec, the 2-3 months balance contract is cancelled also. Start fresh 24 months.

No penalties. icon_rolleyes.gif

Problem is by the time stocks become available from maxis, it's four or five months down the road... Speaking from experience here, hahaha biggrin.gif

Not sure about 12 months contract

If ure current balance is less than 4 months and ure signing a new 24 months contract. U can request the remaining months to be WAIVED off..it Shd be auto Done but u can call 123 just to be sure they waived it

I did mine

Yup, of coz, same pattern every year, forsee the same iphone hunting in december every year, unless maxis comes up with a good rebate for trade-ins like they did for the 5S towards the end of the shell life, for me, the 6 Plus is already a very very good phone. If the price is right towards the end of the year, might even be swayed towards the 128GB model
