Compared to previous iphone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, 6, 6S launches, this is the best collection/delivery experience so far. However, there is still room for improvement for collection.

e.g. for my collection
1) 6am+ No queue, nothing. All mix into one queue, later longer, the guard shift the queue as not to block card access entrance into Maxis tower.
2) 7:30-8am Maxis staff starts rolling in ...
3) 8am only split the queue to walk-in and pre-ordered. Some at the back run to front cut queue kiasu style, messed up for a while.

Since I'm early, queue number moved fast within 5 minutes.
Collection time itself is <30 minutes

Yes, this time Maxis really "reserved" and wrapped separately with yellow post-it notes numbering. This is to prevent stock mixture for their walk-in customers.

ya they should do that else sure will have no stock issue for pre-order

How is iphone sales this year?

seems like not that great

I remember 5 years ago, can get iphone 16G with contract RM1400. now doubled Apple is making iphone into a boutique phone.

Other main reason is that our RM has depreciated. Hence, the increase in pricing for iphone in malaysia. Btw, hows the q at maxis garden? Anyone there?

Apple didn't increase much in pricing for iPhones, in fact in US, its priced similarly to their competitors such as S7 and Note 7...However, due to our major depreciation in ringgit. The price increased a lot

That is one of the factor. But Apple also has a good pricing / marketing strategy.

And apple does produce good quality products and has better resale value. can't argue on this

Just now after work 5pm went to klcc maxis only took about 5mins then got my phone already. Guess not many ppl collecting phone at that hour.

black 128gb out of stock, left 256gb last unit

till the last i know why i cant make the payment when pre-order, because im in 158 plan and choosed 128plan.
just wondering why dint got any error/failed msg.

p.s. for those who planning walk in buy in klcc maxis centre, after bought the phone you still (must) need buy 1 of the i7/i7+ accessory like screen protector or case.

Anyone know when will maxis restock iphone stock in maxis online store?

I heard from a maxis centre's staff that their centre will restock on next Monday. So u can look forward on next week for online store to restock.
