glue sure cannot tahan with that extreme heat. insist them to replace the hose if yours still under warranty. indeed its the 1st recall defected part some time ago. the 2nd recall was the oil cooler hose for the 1st batches. they changed mines both even there's no sign of any leakage. shakehead.gif

For those eb with ori sports rim spare tyre, ensure the spare tyre bracket is not over tightened. When i wanted to use it yesterday the tyre wall already 'dented' inward at where contact with bracket and could not be used. I wanted to just buy 1champiro n use the spare to make a pair. unfortunately the brand new unused spare is wasted. Probably thats why later batches hv those hard rubber spare tyre.
*
tot only me encounter this.... mine just standard rim while when tried to bring out spare to patch with another new type, then only found there a bracket lines on the tyre but luckily only the tyre not tge rim, so still usable....

Tukar CVT oil today at 50k.
Old oil looks shiny red, filter element is pinkish red with no weird element.

I was told the stock CVT oil is long life grade, working in an enclosed environment.
It would last all the way to 80k km without the need for replacement, just regular top up would do.

I poured in Amsoil CVT. Just shairng, not that I recommend anything special.
No difference after oil change.
*
Hi, need ur advice as mine 60K service approaching.... where u done ur CVT oil change, cost and what is Amsoil CVT

Thanks in advance!

Go SC service ask for assessment, most likely one of the engine mounting needs to be changed. It's common for cars, some add early as 20k will start to feel.

For proper assessment, can try the vibration meter app for Android. Put it on steering wheel with car idling, and Aircon off to measure. If vibration above 7 is bad.
Amsoil CVT oil is aftermarket, SC won't let you use. I request them anyway since my car out of warranty.
I bought the oil from Vicson.
Serviced at JECG.
*
OIC, but what the Amsoil CVT could help on our CVT after added? Where Vicson located bro?
BTW, my sister went to JECG to service her Iriz today, afterthat only notice that JECG no longer under proton SC anymore hence her car might have warranty issue later on.

Recently scan with obd2 and found numbers of error code. Engine bay felt extremely hot although my reading never overheat.
Today went for radiator flushing, found out the hose from radiator to turbo seem clogged. Any recommendation where in Penang can find reasonable and good turbo servicing workshop?

Just change the hose . Rm15 if not mistaken , can buy whole set from Shoppee
Dont forget the OCH too
*
Thanks but its not the hose issue. However, found out might have issue with my MAP or O2 sensor stuffs... now i got error code of P012C, P0132, P0134, P2297, which mainly refer to O2 sensor. While after engine off, can kinda hear boiling water sound from Turbo or below area. Guess I really need to send to SC for a complete check and rectify for issue.

My advice - Don't try send to SC.
SC will not be any better or more professional than those 3rd party Proton specialist.

If you are in Kiang Valley area, find for Tam Turbo Motorsport.
He is very famous for rectifying turbo or ECU problems. Has a branch in either Kajang or Sg buloh.

*Edit: Sorry I just realise you are in Penang area.
*
Ya, thks anyway.

O2 sensor only Rm160+ To change at SC , bring to them and get a diagnostic done.
If really Turbo , then get 3rd part to do the job ..... coz SC is going to ask you to change the whole Turbo assay , 3rd party may just replace the needed parts
*
I went to sc to check, the O2 sensor cost 190+ and labour will be 60. Now, whenever my engine hot, I can't stop its as once I stop it then restart again, my timing turn bad, coughing, jerking, etc... Next week will go to a malaypomen recommended by friend to check again. I get ready to grab a O2 sensor from shoppee to try it out after that.

Hope I am not too late!
I just found this recommendation by Proton CFE group owners , for Penang area.

MZ Turbo Performance Garage

Address
168, MK 19 Mengkuang Sekolah, 14000 Bukit Mertajam, Pulau Pinang
*
Thks bro, read the forum too, they recommended this MZ Turbo. However, I don't think it's my turbo issue for this time.

Anyway, will update here again after my next week checking or O2 changing... Wish me luck!

There's a timed waterpump that runs for a minute after engine is switched off. check if that still runs fine. it should have a buzzing sound.

In my case, sometimes the turbo is too hot, after the pump stops, then the coolant inside the turbo will boil. I had to manually turn the key on, then off it, to make the pump run again.

Waiting for your feedback.

Hi bro Alexei,

After changed then O2 sensor (bought on shopee), the error code for Oxygen sensor no longer appear, however its doesn't seem help to reduce fuel consumption cry.gif The check engine sign still apear for the brake a/b switch, will need to get it replace, guess will get from sparepart shop. The boiling sound on and off still occurred, will continue monitor.

Recently changed the stabilizer bar bush due to some sound when passing uneven road sometime. After changed, sound disappeared. Meantime, found out some oil leaking mark on the ground, still yet to find out what exactly leaking... hmm.gif Worrying the och issue... will try to diy again to check it out soon, perhaps will change och by myself....

For och, the hose that usually get blown is the inner one, right? Not the outer hose? Still confused which one got pecah when this type of cases happen to exora user..
*
Hi, The och thats commonly leak, crack or burst was the feed hose (upgraded was the semi steel type)

Fuel consumption takes a while to tune back, I think. Better to run the OBD2 app, and watch the O2 sensor feedback and see if it swings up down up down.
What is brake a/b switch?
Do you notice the sound coming from the waterpump?

Stabilizer bush seems to be the 'must change' item, whenever we hear krukk krukk sound crossing uneven surface.
Oil leaking mark could be due to oil sensor which is below the engine. It is easiest to locate it with the car jacked up like in SC. I found it, and got oil seals replaced.
If OCH, you can feel it, and look for oil marks crawling under the car just behind the right front wheel.
*
Well, still monitoring the fuel consumption but so fa so bad... O2 sensor did swing up and down, the voltage fall below 0.1V but not over 0.9V (the good sensor should between 0.1-0.9V right?) full tank goes only 400KM or less as of now still.... its could be coz of my exzos leak (few small holes at the bottom exzos (the fat part), wondering can do repair or need to change the said piece???

Yet to have time to jack up my bold to inspect the bottom to see what's leak, will do it soon. The oil seals u mean its attached with the engine bloc? How much would cost to get it replace? Any recommend foremen in Penang that u usually go for ur bold repair? Previously the OCV leak and I DIY to change the O-ring.
