Hey dude, why u only screenshot those comments that mentioned VW?
Last time, I posted a lot comments in Mobile & Computer Section, Why u didn't screenshot those comments as well?
*
because in Mobile & Computing section, there's no VW for you to talk about.

Whenever you do post in F&F, it's always about VW and nothing else smile.gif

Just got the exora bold turbo premium.

Excellent value for the money RM72.2k (counted 5.8k rebate).

Complaint so far:

1. the cooling fan noise after switched off the engine is very loud !!! my whole house can hear it ...
2. difficult for me to drive at max 2000 rpm, torturing drive !!! can't wait to whack the turbo after 1000km...
*
wah seh RM5.8k rebate shocking.gif

Welcome to the club biggrin.gif

2014 unit or 2015 unit?

Yes the fan is ridiculously loud. What to do, turbo gets super hot laugh.gif

Year end rebate lar, registered on 30th Dec ...

sayang to whack it la, read manual say dun high rev it the first 1000km.
*
I found that the gearbox/engine feels more free-revving after the first 1000km..

before that, the engine feels like it's struggling to go above 2000rpm, although can feel the turbo kick in already wink.gif

New Exora bold premiun owner reporting in. I get my car on 31 Dec 2014.

Clock 500km now. so far so good. And I agree, the cooling fan noise is quite loud, especially when we turn off the engine. Ppl keep asking, what is the sound from..hah.

waiting for 1000Km to service...any advise for engine oil? normal mineral oil or semi synthetic?
*
I just go with semi synthetic until maybe 20k km only switch to fully synthetic.

hi sifus... I plan to get a 2013 exora (due to budget)... anything I should be aware off?
*
Brand new or 2nd hand unit?

Newer Exora (from April 2014 onwards) have some extra stuff. Such as a brake booster electronic pump, and a new metal type radiator.

2nd hand... Metal type radiator I still can change at SC right? Brake booster electronic pump what does it help?
*
Metal type radiator can change at SC under Proton's recall program.

The brake booster pump is for hill-hold assist feature and stronger brakes.

Mine is 2013 unit too, don't have the pump either but I have been driving perfectly fine with it. It's not a necessity, its just a bonus if you have it smile.gif

Hi All sifu,

I'm from Penang and currently driving 15 yrs old Iswara AE 1.3 and intent upgrade to EXORA CPS 1.6 ( without CFE ) due to some budget concern.
I'm still considering either should take Auto or MANUAL.
But, I heard that it's under power if without CFE. But, that could be old version.
The true or fact only able to reveal from real user feedback.
So, is that true??

BTW, any Penang good salesman with good price and service to recommend?
Appreciate if anyone here can let me know AVERAGE fuel consumption for CPS 1.6 MANUAL and AUTO ( without CFE/turbo).
I believe t'll be slightly higher than my ISWARA due to weight and power.
Whereby my AVERAGE fuel consumption is app  9L / 100km.

Thanks...
*
I don't know about power of CPS vs CFE as I haven't tried the CPS version before.

Fuel consumption for my CFE unit is about 12L/100km for 100% city drive.

For mixed highway and city drive, it is about 8.7L/100km smile.gif

I was driving a CPS(Auto) from 2011 for about 2 yrs and then upgraded to CFE.
Ofcourse... there is a drastic difference in power if you compare both the vehicles....
I've been to Genting twice and Cameroon in my CPS with 5 members in and no issues even though you feel a bit strain....
Overtaking using CPS is a bit strain as you will not be able to achieve sudden pickup.
If you are looking for a normal Family mode drive, the CPS is good enough.
*
what about FC of CPS vs CFE bro? just curious smile.gif

after reading this thread, now i feel like changing the flip key and the gps touchscreen headunit   brows.gif
*
Been using the flip key for about 2 months+ now. Overall very good.

If you do plan to get it, make sure you adjust the internal spring mechanism of the flip key to make it as "springy" as possible.

Also, apply some super glue to the screw holding the rear top cover piece in place. Apply it along the screw threading, then tighten the screw in. This prevents the spring mechanism from becoming loose after a few weeks of use smile.gif

Alexei. YouDontKnowMyName and all,
Thanks for the input. Your input really relief my concern on under power issues.
I hope i able to contribute input here and be part of EXORA club family.
I'm going to show room and test run ......

In fact my ISWARA still in good condition. It just that appearance is poor.
Proton is not that bad. Maybe certain model like WAJA only.
Honestly, I'm not plan to sell off my ISWARA. I may probably sell off my wife TOYOTA COROLLA for trade in
*
Yes, do go for a test drive and feel it for yourself smile.gif

I think you also need to hot glue a bit from inside, as the flip key case is not as water splash proof as original key that have the soft Plastic around the chip. The flip key corner have large gap opening, at least with mine....
*
Mine doesn't seem to have a gap. Maybe yours need to glue it down..

YouDontKnowMyNameI think I figured out the 'tak tak tak' sound during low speed. It's from the front bonnet. I used 3M D-strips to weather seal my engine compartment, and now I don't hear it anymore. It's been 2 days, and I'll report back after observing longer.
