 account being stolen..., OMFG...really needs help...

well this situation seems already happened to me lately this afternoon around 4.50pm 18/09/06...
any1 of u kena this prob b4...???
i was playing BG at that time, anyhow suddenly got dc in the mean time...
then relog, i was like WTH... couldnt login... after that went to acc management at WoW official site to change password, darn it, the account was being theft as well, couldnt login...
started worrying...#$%@

nex i immediately went to password retrieval site to recover the changed password, as long as i hav assigned the acc with my email addr, since email not able to change, unless u phone Blizz...
another time again, WTF... couldnt recall back the secret question as it required to fill in as a prove to retrieve password...
as the others field required is the phone number & email addr...

y is this happened to me around this time...??

so, i wrote an email to Blizz to get help, until now, no response fr them...
already sent the 2nd email to them juz now...
they seems helpless as well...
i think my beloved game had been ruined by the F#$king thief... vmad.gif

hopeless & worthless being played so far up til now...

well...any1 facing this issue b4 or lately...???
please guide me, if u hav idea to solve this matter...

the server shut earlier is due to incoming BC expan which will release soon, they r working on hardware swaping...

i meant account management site, not main website that couldnt login...

the message was shown, is juz like v entered the wrong password...

even im not able to login into game, but im still able to login into account management website rite..??? but now i still wont able to login into acc management site as well... it makes sense...

1st. u need to retrieve ur acc password from bliz website (forgot password option). A password will send to your email address.
2nd, log in to ur acc ASAP and send a ticket to GM.
3rd, GM will freeze ur account. They will request ur information
4th, U need to fax/mail (not email) ur photostate passport to them, and fill in an account retrieval form
5th, that will unfreeze ur account, and u'll get ur gear/gold (no enchant and no craps) in about a week.

Btw i don't know how if u forgot ur mother's maiden name and other information...

edit: 1 more thing, u most likely have trojan on ur PC, get a latest anti virus.
or search ur pc for scvh* if u found anything other than scvhost.exe (this is a window system file) eg: scvh0st.exe (zero), delete the file .

is kinda make sense tho, if some forgot bout mother's maiden name or secret question as they nvr ask bout it as frequent as u key in ur password everytime u login... unless u hav made an universal answer or u r a genius...
they r asking bout the question bac which i hav registered since 1 & a half yrs ago... 1 & a half yrs in 2004, clueless to recall bac with something not common to me...

i had kena those trojan virus as they run in my pc during playing WoW...
sometimes it minimize the WoW game while playing & show me a msg of scvh0st.exe had error & close it down...
bac then at that time didnt notice its a (zero) in btween the original system spelling which is an (O)...

blizzard response quite fast. i faxed the details ar around 12pm.. and i got my account back in around 3-4 hours (they will only be able to recover ur account after few days u unfreeze ur acc). and their email response is always less than a day.

the trojan is PSW.WOW.. that was the one on my pc before... u won't get everything back.. u'll only get back ur gear (without enchant and some of the stat will differ) plus gold.

u better try out the NOD32 virus scanner to check out ur pc...
or reformat & reinstall bac ur pc...
i did everything all over with fresh copy of OS to prevent its goin to happen again... even though i already scanned & deleted them...
giv it a try in case something get worse...

btw u did call them up for account retrieval to settle this issue...??
FYI, im planning not to call them up, coz oversea's calling rate is expensive tho...
or is it compulsory to call them as this is the one & only way to recover bac my acc...??

already took around 3 weeks+ to get it bac...
anyway glad can get bac at least nothing gone missing... icon_rolleyes.gif
but those $uX3rs had stolen around 3500+ GOLD that i had from my few characters...good job $ux3rs... mad.gif

btw i would like to thank u so much for the ppl of LowYat.net forumers who assists me thru all of those necessities & infomations of acc retrieval... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

well, once u hav faxed them correctly, u will receive an email at WoW registered email addr in about 4-5 day times...
might b longer than that, depends on wat kinda scenarios...
if more than 3 weeks still not receiving any email fr Blizz, means fax info not yet being received by them...
make sure u entered a correct fax number with country code...

note: can try to call, but i hav tried & its useless, cant go thru tho...
may b some 1 else knows how to call them... so pls share with us... thx

yea, some ppl might not lucky where by they lost eveythings including gears, items in bank & bags with their gold as well...
but i heard u can send a ticket to GM to get recovery for ur goods, once after u got ur acc bac...
but it takes kinda long for them investigate the whole issue b4 they recovery everythings...

there no extra number need to key-in, it jz the country code (US) + their fax number...
