The starting pay for my first job was 1.8k. After EPF, it became like 1.65k, just like you. I accidentally saw the appointment letter of a guy employed two years ago from that time, the initial pay was also 1.8k before EPF deduction.
I believe all employers think that 1.8k is a good number which they can use for many many years, totally ignoring the presence of inflation. |

well... construction line starting pays poorly... especially consultancy.. mostly after 3yrs only reach 3k. also need to lobby for your pay.. or job hopping to secure higher pay.

Job hopping after u gain experience from you company is definitely great to improve your base salary.
Always put in to consideration the room for improvement in your current department. Back to the topic, getting 1.8k for a fresh graduate is quite average considering many good advantage for you. Like getting MNC exposure and additional experience to show off in your next interview. FYI, MNC company pay higher salary to the agent coz all the medical fees are covered by the agent. Thus, the agent usually leeched 20-25% of your paid salary. Good luck |

hey don't discuss out of topic pls
I really need those advice and recommendation from those experienced forumer anyway what is a green badge?? ok let say if I accept the jobs, the probability for me to convert into the permanent will be higher? provided I work and perform nicely And one thing I wanted to clarify is that I don't YET have my degree result since I just came back here last week. Would there be any problem for that? HELP HELP HELP thanks for those giving me advice This post has been edited by ahliang: Sep 19 2006, 05:45 PM |

QUOTE(ahliang @ Sep 19 2006, 05:38 PM) I really need those advice and recommendation from those experienced forumer Green badge == contract worker attached to external vendor/supplier (i.e. Manpower, Kelly etc). Intel pays the contractor, the contractor in turn pays you. None of the usual intel emp benefits i.e. stock options, study loans etc.anyway what is a green badge?? ok let say if I accept the jobs, the probability for me to convert into the permanent will be higher? provided I work and perform nicely And one thing I wanted to clarify is that I don't YET have my degree result since I just came back here last week. Would there be any problem for that? HELP HELP HELP thanks for those giving me advice You accept -> got chance to be permanent. You don't accept -> no chance at all unless you join as permanent directly. If you perform there is a chance to be converted to permanent but depends on other factors (headcount, HR directive, luck, boss like you etc). |
