Most MMORPG involves some form of quest so there is no running away from it which traditionally takes the ideas from D&D. The question is rather how creative the quest are as the run of the mills of most MMORPG is kill x and y (which Rapplez does and nothing wrong with it)

To develop you character requires levelling and questing, there is no hard fast rules to it. If you are finding the game boring then MMORPG games may not be for you and you are more inclined to console games perhaps which have shorter spans of attention and less development of a character.

Alternatively you should look at Guild Wars which allows you to hop straight into PVP, however, if you really want to develop your character you need to follow the storyline/quests.

MMORPG means just that actively working together in a group whether it be a PUG or in a guild. Soloing is possible and nothing wrong with it if you are short of time but then why play a MMORPG if you not going to interact in the game. They don't call it a MMORPG for nothing you know tongue.gif

i like play mmorpg but not this type.this need do quest for fast lvling.but other mmorpg is just a bit quest but lvling without do any quest n exp was high too
about the pvp they should make a map for pvp only like in knight online
n i think u misunderstood in interact with other ppl coz this game is international server.hard to find a malaysian player n it is too lag for me

As mentioned earlier in my post somewhere could be your IP you are on which is causing lag cause some of us dont have the lag irrespective of time. I doubt its hardware requirement cause the specs are not that high to play if I recall

If you only mix with Malaysian you are missing out making friends from other countries. Solaris has guild members from Singapore, New Zealand, Australia Poland, US and Malaysia. You definately missing out in MMORPG if you just stick to Malaysians.

Hmm..... I am not sure what we are coming to here, but if an mmorpg without quest and keep grinding to level up, that what i say boring...

Rappelz by far is good in grinding, at least you wont feel the grind by level 40 above when you seriously need teams to party and level up together in the dungeon.

There is far more to explore before you get to level 30 above. YOu will travel to further place for quest, and know more about your own spells and abilities.

If quest keep you fallen asleep, then honestly like what zaakath said, mmorpg might not be your favor (I am not sure what type of game which let you level up so fast where you wont get bored, cause most that i played, leveling is so slow, and for those which level up fast, they wont last long).

So you might want to give it a second try with the 60.XX ip which really reduce the lag, and start making friends, or else, if you are too mind to make friends from other country, you might wanna stick with RO, RYL, knight online or some others mmo which is hosted in malaysia itself (more malaysian).

All i can say, this is a great game and lot of potential, the GM was great to had bring us more and more updates, although the event sometimes sux badly, but hell, better than nothing so far.

Just my2cent

Zaakath : Yo, hardly see you online man.... been looking for cleric around your guild to help in the dungeon grinding... Harmonia is making more ally around... especially those who are more on PvE... let grind through the dungeon lol....

What game in particular do u like? Just grinding without quest? (just curious tongue.gif)

And bout the lack of ppl,try making frens with internationals, those u find friendly. Can be pretty interesting u know tongue.gif (broadens ur perspective to)

Quests are good imo. They help u focus on what to kill, while gaining exp. Also u get rewards, which makes those killing worthwhile.Questing in groups can also be fun, letting each character play their role.
At one point I thought "wow, that's quite alot of grinding" (goin frm 28++ to 30,no quest) But once I got passed that,it got better.Especially when moving on to the dungeons.
The roles of characters are even more obvious in like a dungeon party.Being the tank (considering how to dish out enough threat constantly) , a damage dealer (dealing alot of damage without gettin too much threat tongue.gif) and a cleric, etc.

Games get better as u go higher up.It may seem boring initially at low lvls, but low levels weren't exactly meant to be hyper fun.So yea,try continuing on man smile.gif

I think Rappelz is a pretty decent game, not to mention it's free laugh.gif

Lav_Ender: Hiya mate busy with work end of the year trying to wrap up deals otherwise no bonus tongue.gif and buying looking to buy new toys like new LCD TV, PS3 and Wii hehe. If you want a cleric there are 2 who are around ur level LightGoddess and Tarol I believe. Light is an officer so maybe you want to talk about ally.

It did occur to me to address this subject in the 1st post. However... TMNut's wildly erratic performances (which is by now...should be a 'default' knowledge for the casual users anyway..) across the IPs' board for almost every applicable thing, made that idea seems redundant at the moment.

But of course, I'll add the approriate LYN tech Networking Tech Support section's links and some how-to's for some good measures.

Thanks marky for reminding me! smile.gif

Hold your breath, i been here in dungeon from 35 and now i am 48, and most of my guildmates been in the dungeon since 38 and now most of them are 60+ and still grinding in the same dungeon killing the same old fish, dog, borzum, etc.

So you need extreme patient for this one. smile.gif
