hm.. i want to play sword.
Anyone can suggest which character i should use??

Avenger88, if you want to play range, go for gaia bow.... (Gaia Fighter), you might see how sux your attack speed would be (yeah is the slowest, somehow slower than casting a spell), but you will pawn at high level with awesome skills.
If you might be soloing all the time, go kahuna, they are the best soloer at high level.

Lulusantos, if you wish to play sword, either you go dual with fighter (for the damage), or dual with Asura for the speed. But anyhow, gaia fighter with sword seem more impresive, cause gaia fighter can minor heal. If you plan to play sword with shield, go for deva tanker (Holy warrior), but holy warrior are great played with spear or mace (for stunning) and shield.

For dual sword I recommend Asura as their dps is much better then Gaia. Gaia's and Deva can dual wield but they are best at 2 handed weapons for Gaia and Deva for tanking with shield although with the 2nd job descriptions for Deva 2handed weapons don't look too bad.

Gaia archers I recommend you be patient as it will be slow from 1-20 as the skills only develop from job level 20 onwards with the long bow. From 1-20 you will be using the light bow and there is no skill which really shines.

@Lav_Ender, yup we are slowly making our way in the dungeon and have recurited a few high level chars into the guild

the more i look at Cleric skill and Kahuna skill from Rappelz.us , the more confused i get..
it seems like Gaia Kahuna got more buff spells compare to Deva cleric ...

each class has its own good if u know how to play it... for me as a dual dagger strider, killing is fast and easy but no heal skill so its kinda pain hav to rely on potion always

That very true, but kahuna cant do instant heal, for fast casting heal... cleric can...
Oh well, for teaming, cleric still the most important players, but solo, kahuna will be owning..

Yea Kahunas have buffs spells which usually cost less jp to obtain and even have curse spells (opposite of buff,watever u wanna call it)

Usually in parties,if there's a Kahuna with the buffs around,us clercis focus on healing,while Kahunas take care of the buffs then go into battle (since buffs last for like 20 mins,u don't have to constantly do it)

And remember healing is very essential in dungeon parties so yea,we clerics are still rather needed

I'm downloading from download.com at 55kb/s+ atm. I've tried the other site listed.. but download.com is still the fastest, or you could try BT.

I need advices and guidelines... I've been always a FAN of being an assasin class in mmorpg that I involved in. So.. urm, just tell me anything lol.

Asura Strider is the choice for u. High attack pace with good avoidance,like an assasin should be :;
Haven't played one myself so I'm not in the position to tip u but basically browse through the forums (Asura section) I'm sure there're some tips there

If you like the assasin type of char,you should go for the Asura Strider,like I mentioned to Anime-FAN

Hmm... i rather not suggesting assasin in this game (rather to be called as strider from asura) which use dual handed.

The attack speed that we all talking is not something like RO attack speed, so is still rather slow with low damage. And the evasion is a total jokes in this game, i think HP and def is the name here, that is why kahuna who had good damage, moderate atk speed and nice hp and def (cause they can buff), and can heal is so good to survive.

Compare to other at high level, assasin is not quite to the standard imho.

but is up to you, although they might do pretty good at 2nd job, who know?

RO thieves (job b4 assasin) have relatively lower evasion n low attack speed to.Obviously u can't expect to replicate the assasin in a first job -.-

And on the evasion thingie,striders have deep evasion (although cooldown is nasty) Plus they deal good steady dmg at a decent rate.

Kahuna's are good no doubt,but in a dungeon party (assuming u do want to go to the dungeons) u would need a number of damage dealers (striders qualify enough) and maybe only a single Kahuna.Ppl hardly want more than that.

So as an Asura,u won't really have to wry bout not being able to fine a dungeon party
