QUOTE(Putraskyline @ Mar 21 2009, 02:20 AM) jusco/parkson.....QUOTE(giotto @ Mar 21 2009, 01:01 PM) Having used different luggage bags, i must say Samsonite makes one of the best bags without doubt. Most of the other brands like Polo, Crocodile and unbranded ones are quite hopeless. After a while, they start to tear or the wheels will break or the handle will break and i've even seen a stupid CHina bag that my friend used that wasn't balanced when you stand it upright. samsonite is like 500 bucks... when claim baggage 1 sratch also heart pain d... Samsonite maybe expensive but its got minimum 10 years warranty and in some higher range ones, lifetime warranty. First, its very light and you'd be surprise the space compartment you get for such a small bag. And they have those small but very ingenious compartments. My advise to you travellers out there who wish to buy a cabin bag or check in bag, invest in a good brand, be it Samsonite or Victorinox or Mendoza. Forget about cheapo brands if you wanna buy 1 for the long run. so far d polo king set i got is very very good and stylish... polo got diff grades 1.. from the ones u buy in giant to the ones u buy in jusco all diff another cheap n good is american traveller... sold here same price as samsonite.. but in the US damn cheap... lol |

QUOTE(giotto @ Mar 21 2009, 11:24 PM) Samsonite cheapest cabin bag is definitely more than RM500, unless you get it at a bargain or clearance stock. canvas also can get scratch lor... the best bag is cheap, wont tear and look stylish... so far i paid rm250 for my 30" and 150 for my 22" bags... all polo king.. very nice, black and stylish ^^But yeah, i get what you mean about scratches and such but i think to avoid that, get those canvas type of bag, which is just as good and also very light. |

QUOTE(yeahs4.1 @ Mar 24 2009, 02:25 PM) it is on top of my cupboard lor... very heavy.. i put bags into bags.. 4 diff layers... lol... when i free i take pic ok.. i went to jusco i dont see it on sale any more.. QUOTE(Traveler @ Mar 25 2009, 05:02 PM) I've been using Samsonite for years and years. My main travel bags are all Samsonite. I have one that I use for 4-14 day trips (usually maxes out around 17-22kg), and a bigger one for trips longer than 14 days (or if I want to carry a lot of stuff, usually around 30kg total). Both have large wheels for easy movement (especially going up/down steps, and cobblestone streets like in many European cities). u sound richThe smaller bag is already 11 years old and still going strong. The larger bag is 4 years old. I also have a hard shell large Samsonite and a Samsonite garment bag. Both have survived the test of time (>11 years) and are still in good condition. For backpacking, I have 3 backpacks: a 65L Deuter, a 55L Tatonka and a smaller (maybe 20L-ish cheapo from Thailand of dubious authenticity) backpack. The Deuter backpack is more comfortable than the Tatonka. |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Mar 26 2009, 11:57 PM) SeLrAhC, American Tourister is basically Samsonite relabelled in case you didn't know. You won't get the high end Samsonite stuff as American Tourister but the low end spinners for example are exactly the same but much cheaper. no wonder they sell tourister in samsonite shop in msia.. lol.. but they are selling it at premium brandI still prefer european samsonite stuff though, they're lighter but just as tough. |

QUOTE(tishaban @ Apr 1 2009, 12:47 PM) You don't have to care if you get scratches on your bag. It's function is to protect your belongings, not to look pretty then isnt better to get cheap and sturdy bags instead? if d objective is just to protect d stuff.. that's how i purchase my bags, as long as d wheels dont KO and the bag dont rip, looks nice new, and cheap.. can already ^^ |
