I also agree that it's not possible for 160 km in 6 hours. No need to kencing? Makan? Water break? Taking into consideration that you stop a total of 30 minutes for the whole 6 hour journey, you need to have a higher AVERAGE speed of 30km/hr instead to complete 160 km in 5.5 hours. Average speed means you have to be faster than 30 km/hr at times to compensate for the hilly stretches that would be impossible to hit 30km/hr.
*
for century nomally ppl don't break to kencing wan biggrin.gif
they oso eat on the bike wan biggrin.gif
and maybe stop at water station to get water, less than a few min oni stop.

compensate for the for the hills u go faster when u do downhill.

at this year's kedah century, the tyrell geng finish between 6.30 hours and less than 8 hours. biggrin.gif

Mine both ok liao wor, i get to properly tune them after aligning the rd to the cassette with some spanar power, hehe. I guess I'm sifu too, haha.

Just to add, from behind, the cassette and both cogs in rd must be in one line. Then from top, the cassette and both rd cogs must be in the same direction.

Better to have a visual and also a tryout on folding, rolling and carrying. To be honest, designs like this needs a very good mechanical engineering and prices like 500 bucks won't really go far. Even the Strida cost thousands but many buy cheaper version from China and then leave it to rot in some corner of the house. I would advise to stick to the Trinx 1606 if you really want to save. At least it will last you a year or two. Also it is aluminum compared to the steel that's on the link which will rust! icon_rolleyes.gif

Why ask about disc brakes when you already purchased your bike? tongue.gif

Just for your consolation, V-brakes are better on folding bikes but disc brakes are actually more efficient IF IT IS A HYDRAULIC ones. I say all disc brakes on folding bikes are mechanical, meaning they are still actuated by cable. Just like V-brakes, they are dependent on how heavy you pull the levers to stop. We are talking about cable brakes , OK icon_rolleyes.gif Now imagine the braking surface.

The V-brakes braking surface is 406 mm long on one revolution, that's a long surface while disc brakes is usually 6 inch or 180mm diameter only. That's a small surface. It's OK if it was hydraulically assisted, just finger touch and the force is strong but cable, hmm.................depends on how strong your fingers are. The advantage on disc though is, it works the same when wet while V-brakes you need to modulate first, meaning press , release, press release before it actually stops. Problem is folding bikes can't use hydraulic disc brakes because of the hose which cannot be folded much. Unless you don't fold your bike, that is........

Want a better V-brakes, can go for Shimano XT sets. It actually cost more than the mechanical disc brakes and even the lower end Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. biggrin.gif

yeah, unfortunately cannot see first, as shop in penang. I agree with you to go see and feel, because that time I have my eyes set on the 16" xds, then I go see, not really easy to carry around. trinx 1606 is in my shortlist, but can't find seller (at least from my googling). One shop in selayang said container for 16" trinx hasn't arrive and some bike shop in facebook told me no stock and need to wait. So, I'm still shopping around then he he he icon_rolleyes.gif

btw, in some blogspot, they say if carry in lrt / ktm must put in bag, that means, cannot roll like trolley lah, right? must be able to carry by hand then. cry.gif
