Yeah, I know her from 2005 Racequeen of the Year Pagent somewhere mid/end of 2005. Then later I saw her again at 2006 Super GT, then 2006 KLIMS. Very very talkative, speak Mandarin.

Hey mate,
I have the tix with me and its printed RM20, and I know the organizing ppl, and they've told me at the moment will sell at Rm15 instead of Rm20. But later on, they will make it RM20. So isn't it now Rm15 considered promo price? Unless I've heard it wrongly wrong Andre and Dennis lor.

Oh that's too harsh ... but I think the worst signage ever produced was "No Photography Allowed" in a place packed with babes tongue.gif

Talk about no photography ... I know this dumbass of a bridal company that hold public bridal shows in shopping complexes that do not allow DSLR users to shoot. Why DSLRs? Let me explain ...

They are at least 1 hour late into their scheduled shows (typical of most Chinaman companies) and they have this shortie Chinese fellow like a tug harassing photographers who tries to shoot their bridals shows, speaks lousy English but can pronounce "F'ck you" perfectly when you ignore him. He is about my shoulder's height and he jumps and blocks your lens. I tried to explain to him the 1st time I encounter him that I am shooting a friend of mine who was the model for the show but he said "No no no nooooooooooo ... you can no shoot, you understand?!". He seemed to block all DSLRs only but never bothered about the compact digicams, phone cameras and even video cams! That was what pissed us most ...

If you encounter these kind of situation, you got 2 choices (and I have seen both) :

1. Ignore the person but you might end up fighting with him becoz I heard he can be very physical at times
2. Walk away and boycott the show

Yes shot in raw, but use PreviewExtractor to extract everything to JPG with default setting. Shot in Auto mode though, and later just simple used ColorWasher to fix some colorwasher, all auto settings sweat.gif.

Mind giving me some tips on which pix, wat white balance went wrong and wat shall I do?... noob here.... sweat.gif

Still need, like fish eye effect, macro leh? Just that 18-200mm VR is more to like easy for travel lens. U rarely go shoot macro stuff when u travel... just my 2 cents..

Yes shot in raw, but use PreviewExtractor to extract everything to JPG with default setting. Shot in Auto mode though, and later just simple used ColorWasher to fix some colorwasher, all auto settings  sweat.gif.

Mind giving me some tips on which pix, wat white balance went wrong and wat shall I do?... noob here....  sweat.gif
What's with all the RAW format shooting? If you're just gonna display the pics, might as well shoot in JPEG.

Get the right color, my eye for color very the teruk. Sometime way overexpose/underexposed, probably can still be saved via RAW, JPG, can also but then the quality drop tremendously... sweat.gif

Nolah quality won't drop one ... even at 800x600 JPEG also all my colour is 101% perfect render! If you cannot read colour, no matter than format you shoot in also useless, DLSR or compact also no use. You need to learn to read colour and know what is the right colour temperature.

I never have problem with noise. Try to streamline your ISO settings according to shooting scenerios and lighting environments, never outsmart your camera's exposure meter. CCDs have very poor noise handling capabilities compared to CMOS sensors, so ... you'll need to waste more time 'hiding' (not remove) noise than actually touching up the pics.

Pic 1 - http://static.flickr.com/112/257443402_bc9e40aa90.jpg

1. Include her left shoulder to complete the picture becoz your viewers tend to sweep from right shoulder to the left one in a shot like this, this shot seemed to come to an abrupt end, your viewers will batal steam.
2. Back off to a wider angle to include her entire rightarm, this will complete and top-down view.

1. For this one, you're very off-angle. I am very sure you're standing to the left of another photographer, definitely not to the centre. Someone else got a better angle than you there.

Now now ... I am VERY sure many people's eyes are GLUED to somewhere, so you as a photographer must read their minds! Complete the left hand, dun cut off ... OR go so close till her head almost touches the top and her boobs touches the bottom. Now THAT is what I call an 'attractive image!

Have her look at you ... it'll create more impact.

Hey guys, some pix took yesterday, give some comments/critics ya, first time studio shoot yesterday...

#1 - Warming up shot

#2 - Soup against white backdrop with studio lighting

#3 - CLS

#4 - Soup at sofa...

My comments:

#1 try different angle next time and create the feel more. becareful of the reflection there, the background spoil the pictures. beware of the frame on the right side. and also the necklace smile.gif

#2 no comment

#3 her face tone is not balanced with her body's tone. The light's temperature doesn't consistent. This pic doesn't work because of her breast.

#4 pic doesn't work because of her leg. and remember to check the sofa's zip!!! it does spoil the pic

For my first pix, I realize the background reflection, and I did dat one purpose. It was not a real studio, it was a dancing studio where backdrop is setup at a later time. So now choice, at least to get that pix of reflection in, but the frame really kacau.... maybe can use photoshop isolate out.. biggrin.gif

Since it was cloudy, I just increase ISO to 200 to get above 1/125 shutter speed. Use Aperture priority and just point and shoot. I think its above 1/125 shutter speed kua....

metering i pakai spot metering 1, but some ppl dun like using spot metering 1, so i decided dun talk so many spot metering liao. this is my last time tongue.gif
01. Spot metering on the mid tone.
02. then AEL it
03. based on ur object colour make some adjustment on the EV + or - or keep it zero also can it depend. (example when u metering on the darker tone object EV minus, white colour object EV+)

there is not right or wrong that wut metering u should use, well i'm js a newbie here still got long way to go. But every time i try to get the pic is "wut u see wut u get" happy shooting la.

glad u like it.. English derby? earlier one was Derby Cup day, this is Melbourne Cup day, but both looks similar to me, except melbourne cup day, some ppl wear farnee attire, dats all...

Thanks man, er.. shallower means lower number of F or higher... hahaha i kinda blur on this.. but I alwaz keep the apeture to the biggest F (smallest number) depending on my focal length.

Memang sifu, u complete the doubt I have in mind. Someone posted the AEL in other thread for me, and my colleague tell me something like "metering on the darker tone object EV minus, white colour object EV+", now i know, do this when u do spot metering.

Btw, I do try spot metering once in a while, but didnt do the AEL though. Most time I shoot at center-weighted, i think it work best for me. biggrin.gif

Just use photoshop wizard, but then when converted to 16bits mode, I adjust the gamma/exposure manually (there are few options during conversion right?), to bring out the details.... too much bright area ar? I'll go back and try again... I'm not familiar with HDR.. hehe

having not done any hdr photos myself, I do not know the process/difficulty involved. but having browsed for hdr, and having seen them, i believe you do not have enough range to create a fully impacting photos such as:

I believe you need a correctly exposed image in order to process HDR, you need to ANTICIPATE the process prior to shooting, very specific kind of exercise rclxub.gif

*
I agree with u.

QUOTE(ageell2004 @ Dec 5 2006, 12:11 PM)
hi i know that there are some camera with bracket function. can i use it and combine the pic to get hdr?
*
I just use the standard brackting function available on my cam, a 3 frame shoot with different exposure.

Like ac98 had mentioned, very specific kind of exercise need, best is to use tripod, set the exposure manually (spot metering), and take all possible shot. It could be more than 3 images then. biggrin.gif

No point going : Sabrina Quigley for one will not be there (she's got a job at KL), Jesz (the TXN Racequeen Winner) won't be there (she's on vacation) and Jill Moo won't be there as well (she's working at Genting). TXN had the girls signed some kinda contract mentioning that they will pay them to do TXN events. The girls are not being paid for this one and it's already all over the place that some of the girls are boycotting.

Check out the Schedule : Photo shooting 1pm - 5pm and RQ Talents 8pm ... all for not even a cent!

Shinchan needs TXN one meh ... what need are 'reference' shots to see which girls are still active in event, then we ask them out for shoot lor. Usually girls who are active after some time will need new pics, and of course new girls as well lah.

Carace? Even if she got NOTHING to do this weekend she also won't go lor! tongue.gif

Participants of HPC pay up to Rm300 for the entire event including a Night's Stay, a BBQ Dinner and Pool Party among all. I am considering going also to support the girls earlier should they be there but now no point lor. HPC mentioned in their website that TXN is there to 'support' HPC, dun tell me TXN is forking out own money for transport and accomodation at the expense of the girls' pay?

TXN will have to do better next time should they wanna continue keeping their girls within the confines of the agreement. Face it, some girls are very popular babes and they are very sought-after. They did ExtremeNights for the money in the first place, nothing more than that ... and MONEY will keep them coming back.

I got nothing against TXN or HPC, just that they need to know how to HAVE the girls in their events and KEEPING the girls there. That's a fact.

Nope, still waiting for the money to 'claim' it back. Then later I will decide whether to keep it or upgrade. Most probably buy a used unit but higher end than my present 300D of course.

Met Art ... ahhh ... but twosomes at Met Art are typical lesbian-like poses. Seasoned models like Carace won't have a problem, but might frigthen away newbie models laugh.gif

Dun think we wanna go until Met Art. Model can pose, photographer cannot shoot brows.gif tongue.gif
