Depending on chipset used, 40Y8318 is not gurantee can be repair ~60% success rate. Fujitsu also have to depend on your luck. IBM RM220, Fuji RM80.

Off course yes, it have many brother like HSTNN-IB08, HSTNN-DB28...This battery is manufacturer by CPT, therefore it labeled CB48. I don't really remember the original capacity of all model, there are just too many battery model out there, but I guess your original unit is 56Whr, that is already the maximum capacity I have, thus can not upgrade anymore...

A little story that I would like to share with everyone.

I have a Fujitsu U1010 3G+GPS version and it had a 2 cell, 7.2v, 2.6Ah battery.
The battery is 2 years old and could now only hold less then 30 minutes.

The decision to be made was obvious.

Dropped the battery off one day around noon,
next day afternoon got SMS stating that it was ready,

Yes, some of them can be done, M37517 can try to be repaired now, no gurantee can success but have change.
