bro, one stupid question here, how to know whether the cell is 3 cells, 6 cells and so on? forexample the acer batt i am using now is 10.1volt (i think) 4400mah.
How to check whether how many cells in it?
Is it possible to change into a bigger mah batt or more cells?
How to maintain the battery? I never remove my batt and keep using external power and seldom rely on batt, is this way ok? Or do i hav to remove the batt when using adapter?
3 cells capacity usually is ~2200mAH, 6 cells usually ~4400mAH, 9 cells usually 6600mAH.
Do not trust the labeled capacity, ask for actual capacity!Check it weight, 3 cells ~150Gram, 6 cells ~300Gram, 9 cells ~450Gram.
Do not trust the weight, always ask for the true capacity!Depending on your original capacity. If you original is 2200mAH, there are still cell at same size but 2400, 2600mAH.
Put the battery inside the notebook, you will have more stable system with UPS (uninteruptible power). Remove the battery you are tend to kill your adaptor in some system when you do not have AVR(AC voltage regulator). There are no need to maintain, due to Li-ion smart battery is self protected, new battery last around 1 years if you have use it more than 150cycle. Last up to 3 years even if you seldom use it.
Just like your phone battery, do you maintain it? You aren't right? The only way to let it long life is, do not stress the battery! Keep all the power setting at minimum power use, minimum brightness on LCD, turn off WIFI and others pheriperal if you are not use it...
But will you do this? I don't think so.
