QUOTE(Steven7 @ Aug 3 2015, 12:05 PM) Ok you won't believe this. Originally I have given up but I saw your reply so I turned on my i9300 to try your fix, but without even trying your fix, it works...SIM is detected. I have tried reboot, power off for few hours the other day but not a damn thing works. Now it works without any fix...so thanks guys. BTW, although it works now (and I have made a full nandroid backup) but when I flashed the ROM last time, I untick Xposed just to save that lil bit amount of time. Now I wanna install Xposed manually as I was too afraid to reflash it again. I just wanna ask the Xposed originally included in AD3.1, is it the same with the one here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/sup...xposed-t3072979 ? I wanna try to follow the instructions there. During aroma installation did you choose to save the installation log? You can check in the log - i did save the log but my son's S3 i left it at home - I'm outside now. QUOTE(cyclonerox @ Aug 3 2015, 10:52 AM) LED bro...I need ur help...I flashed this AD v3.1...impressed with its performance..but there's something I can't fix myself after reading xda forum...hope you can help me out hahaha.. I would like to know if I can remove the google search? which is sticky on screen.. and how can I change my ring tone and notification tone? without stock media player seem not possible to change add custom ringtone? QUOTE(surefire v LED @ Aug 3 2015, 11:28 AM) Google search can't be removed - you have to untick it in aroma installer. For adding ringtone - install root explorer - launch it - go to system - media - notification - ringtone. I suggest you rename those whatever ringtones you have B4 copying to that folder. And reboot. Actually u can. There's an option in launcher setting where u can turn off search bar

So, anybody here know what's up with this? The phone belongs to my sister though, it suddenly just happened this morning when she was trying to switch the phone on(because she normally switches the phone off before sleeping). I could boot the phone into Odin mode, I wanted to try flashing a stock firmware according to the guides I found on XDA. Onto the first step, my Windows Defender was telling me that the file I downloaded from http://odindownload.com/ has virus. That's where I stopped, because I don't want to have any further damages to be inflicted onto my computer. I've also tried searching around for a solution and to understand more through Google, the results returned are mostly telling me that it might be a hardware failure. Looks like the phone is finally giving up, no?
