1. Yes you have to root the stock S3 rom with latest Odin also can.
2. Yes i have tested the Blisspop rom not bad actually better than Resurrection Remix.

Tried to root my S3, failed to install the TWRP. Don't know what is wrong with it.

odin3 v1.85
twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar

I dl-ed these two version.

I downloaded Odin and the twrp tar file.

Switch off my phone -> vol down+power+home -> download page -> connect usb -> run odin -> attach the twrp tar file -> phone reboot -> vol up+power+home -> no comment and goes into the standard recovery page

What did i do wrong...

mind you that tar file was for recovery... for root i think you need SuperSU flash-able zip

I was following this tutorial. I've downloaded the SuperSU file as well, but i didn't manage to successfully installing the recovery...

Do i have to flash the SuperSU before i flash recovery???

that tar.md5 how many MB? should be around 7 to 8mb

It was 7.45mb

All the recovery tar file i dl-ed were 7mb+.
