My S3 has been acting very weird lately, sometimes it restarts itself and everything back to the basic, which means all the apps i downloaded were erased and the data on the internal memory. I have been performing hardware reset countless times, the problem still persists. Any idea what is wrong with my phone? Or has it come to the end of its journey to serve me? T^T

What's the last thing u did on your phone?
*
Just normal usage, the last software i installed was Ramen game, it was a few weeks back then. One morning i woke up to my phone showing touchwiz not responding. So i did a factory reset to that. Then my messengers were acting strange after i installed everything, not responding. So i did a hard reset.

Since then my phone occasionally reset itself. I have no idea what is wrong with it.

Custom rom is the answer for this random reboots.

I guess i have to figure how to root my phone. T^T

QUOTE(buukarim @ Jul 4 2015, 07:20 PM)
Sounds like a problem with partition. Try repartition your phone.
*
Thank you for the suggestion, I will try to search it up on how it works.

1. Yes you have to root the stock S3 rom with latest Odin also can.
2. Yes i have tested the Blisspop rom not bad actually better than Resurrection Remix.

Tried to root my S3, failed to install the TWRP. Don't know what is wrong with it.

odin3 v1.85
twrp-2.8.6.1-i9300.tar

how you flash those tar?
*
I downloaded Odin and the twrp tar file.

Switch off my phone -> vol down+power+home -> download page -> connect usb -> run odin -> attach the twrp tar file -> phone reboot -> vol up+power+home -> no comment and goes into the standard recovery page

What did i do wrong...

Tried on the other recovery that you suggested as well... Didn't work for me. Hmm

This is how the odin page look like. Looking at the log, i suspect that "removed" before the "completed" is the reason i failed. But i didn't remove the cable in the process. Hmm

Thank you guys @normek @surefire v LED @buukarim, I guess i've finally flashed the rom.

So not used to the new interface! Is it normal for the batter to drain from 38% at 2.30am to 3% at 7.30am?

orz, wifi not working, and all the apps i dl-ed last night vanished without a trace....

So i went to recovery mode, trying to wipe the data off and thinking of reinstalling the rom. While in the process of wiping data, it reboots halfway, the last message i saw was something like failed to wipe "data/misc"

it keeps on restarts and stuck on the boot page....

I am wondering if were to update a new version of rom, does that mean that you have to reinstall all the apps again after flashing the new rom?

Blisspop V3.2 Reboot a few times in a day, installed apps vanished.

So I updated to v3.5 nightly, few not responding events, so far no reboot. Hopefully, this suits me better.
