this is mostly pre order or online sales like xiaomi does which the price will be fix until the main company drops the price.

as for note 4, they are sold by shops and online as well. so the profit margin that sellers get is more. therefore they are able to reduce the price whenever they wan. and this demand vs supply.

So the retail price should be over RM1.7k than

Agreed. But what I meant to say was that the selling phone of China Phones like the Mx4 would be of course its high specs and lower price bracket for everyone to own one.

love mx4 front exterior, hate mx4pro square-samsung-alike button, but why the hell mx4 no nfc !!! Such a deal breaker for me !

Ya agree completely with you! The inclusion of that square home button completely screwed up the overall design.
BTW, what do you use NFC for?

my camera works perfectly with nfc, after link with nfc i can use my phone to take pictures, transfer pictures to handphone, all in one nfc touch.

and of course transfer pictures with friends.

Haha if you read my earlier post, that was exactly what I thought. 16GB is ridiculously small for a 2014 mid-high end phone. But then I checked my current phone and found out I only used 3.1GB. So it's still fine for me because I'm not really into mobile gaming nor using lots of apps but of course I'm very sure it's inadequate for normal users. Plus I am impatient to wait any longer. Hopefully I will not regret later.

Haha see how it goes. It will only arrive sellers on 28th and then will take a few days to ship from them. To be honest, the dimension, design, mag alloy frame and price are the things I like the most regarding this phone. The Mediatek SoC may not be able to compete with other flagship chips but it's more than enough for me.

I do have a few concerns. One reviewer (forgot where the source is) mentioned the video shot by this phone will be 15:9 resolution as well, and will have issues playing the video on other 16:9 phones. CNET reviewer gave a mediocre score for this phone mentioning it's buggy. He said the 15:9 display has compatibility issues with some apps. Another concern for me is the non-standard one home button UI. Not sure if I will get along well with that.
