picture taken with newly bought white box.. =P

very good oh...
in many part, it's even better than my hd580
i think it's 799 from price of akabane dr jacker.
very nice lah
isolation = great , very not bad. while i try. akabane talk also ican't listen at all, fan at speed 5 also cannot hear at all, even the headphone is on low volume..

comfort = great, one of the best compare to what i have. as comfort as HP890.. shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif
Live performance = great, one of the best i ever had listen. i will rate it below W5K nevertheless. but it's close enough for the price you pay for it.
speed of headphone = great, punchy, yet not boomy.... very accurate sound.. even though i enjoyed im716 i don't feel this is anythings inferior compare to im716.. HD580 on the other hand is not accurate.. bass is boomy. fat, and less power. it's like the player of kick drum had been starving.... and the drum impact is totaly not there, drum is very far from you.. no energy, nor quantity..
treble / mid = i will rate it as good as HD580. with the treble more sparkle, not as silky as hd580. mid, M50 is more accurate, but HD580 is more enjoyable.

on live concert recording. it's un-forgetable
and it doesn't need an amp to sound that nice.
my HD580 get pawned badly yesterday. but i do hope with proper amp my HD580 can sound better... cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

M30 VS M50..
M30 is inferior in a lot, bass, isolation, comfort (m30 use cloth pad, while m50 use leather that same as ES7)speed, accuracies.
even the built quality.........
i won't surprise if some one said he drop a M50 from 3rd floor and the headphone still steady..

new user of ES7 and ANC7 here....found out ANC7 have more sweet highs than es7 but lighter bass...
*
ES7 before and after burn in is hell different.
give ES7 a long burn in and see if the bass light or not
imho my ES7 shakes my ear.
and ANC7 is no where near ES7 sound imho.

Its a Stax SR-007 or known as Omega 2 mk1. Superb headphone, but very boring sounding leh... Too neutral tongue.gif
Also, I don't have a Blue Hawaii so... who knows...
*
hm.. i heard the omega 2 last weekend saturday and i seriously don't feel it's boring wor..
i kinda love it's sound. and it really has the similar characteristic as my speaker setup..
hahaha
laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif it's the laidback that i love.. that's why i love original sennheiser sound too.

and imho, it's the most well balanced electrostat i ever heard..
i tried HE60 driver alone, driven by stax driver. never tested orpheus though. =P

by the way.. u guys ah... this is audiotechnica tread leh.. sekejap sennheiser.. sekejap HE60.. sekejap stax..
out of this whole page. i cari cari tak nampak Audio Technica except this
"[WTS] Audio Technica ATH-AD2000"

Yeah bro, no worries, not criticizing your preferences too. smile.gif
The diversity and subjectivity of this hobby is what makes it soo fun and also frustrating at times. But then again, if all headphones sound the same, where's the fun in that eh? tongue.gif
*
hm.. hard to imagine that u love ES7 that much... that even it's better than some a lot headphone which i never tried but i "though" they will be better such as beyer and so on.
however. i find ES7 requires a serious burn in. else it seriously sounds like sh*t. =P
ahaha
it's hell portable for such serious sound too.
later i go home must listen to it again.. hehe

Nice! How does the earpad of the M50 felt?? Is it really soft like the Sony's XB700's earpad??

Oooh, XB700's earpad is so soft I cant pull my hands away from it......by far the most comfortable earpad I've ever felt
*
M50 earpad is slightly harder. but still consider soft..
it's not as thick as that xb700 mah.. XB700 is really dunkin donut size.. lol

yeah the size is a bit too huge but the softness!! OMG!!
*
how about.. get an XB700.. rip off the pad.. and transplant the pad at some other headphone u prefer?:

i think it will incraese the bass of the headphone when use with that sort of pad.
