Well... Let's just say that its the top dog of AD series

anyway, M30 new user reporting in!
Frankly,it's my first audio technica stuff.and I'm glad that it's a can.I always want my first can to be audio's.(I have creative's,but let's skip that sweat.gif)

everytime I wanna buy a sennheiser or beyer's can,I always looks back to audio technica, coz the design is so cool.just can't resist.I always feel that audio technica is more to my taste, and after tryng M30,no I know, audio technica IS for me.

my opinion bout the M30,though lots say that the sound siggy for audio technica is more neutral.not too aggresive(but not as laid back as senn),for me,M30 quite 'wild' as the bass can be punch and full.mids are great and like Bro CLF said, the details that i never heard before all surfaced up.I can even hear the how awkward the singer sing, like 'betterr' instead of 'better'.this is no 'neutral' can tongue.gif.all in all, even on iPod,without EQ,M30 have satisfy my hunger for good quality music.worth every cent.

ps:now becoming more greedy, thought of buying an amp, becoz I need to max out my iPod volume to feel M30 full potential.but want a simple2 first la.what do guys say bout Fiio?ok or not?

Owh,and thx to Akabane for the M30. smile.gif

welcome to the club bro! thumbup.gif

FC700, the isolation not as good as M30. mainly coz the earpad cannot cover the whole ear as M30 does.
FC700's plus point is it's portability.

would say M50's bass is much impressive than M30. hard to describe what it lacks but overall, M50 sounded better than M30.

I didn't try out Pro700 so not sure bout it.

still possible to order through the forumers who're doing bulk here. smile.gif
some people to suggest that for heavy-bass, find some other brands instead of AT. AT is more to mid-highs.

Hi, i rather found es7 was tighter and not that comfortable after long period listening. May be i had a big head and i actually need to extend the headband extension to the max only i found it slight comfort. Any chance to loose the es7
*
try to repositioning the headphone? extending the headband to the max is very loose alrdy IMO... or can take pic how u would usually put on the ES7?

ad700 is too big for travelling right?is there any place i can test anc7 and do u carry new model anc7b?
*
hmm.... if mobility is a concern for you, maybe ES7 or ESW9 might be suitable for you too.
not sure bout ANC7b's SQ, but good thing it comes with almost everything, pouch, cables, accesories etc.

i tested my friend's es7, but dont really like it, feel not comfortable may be, was thinking about m50 too.headache....
*
oh yea M50! forgotten bout it lol.
it's neutral, kinda balanced like what you wanted. bass-wise it comes in quality instead of quantity.
noise-isolation is good as the earpad covers up the whole ear.

hah I still plan to keep M30 though, currently loaned to a friend.

both units can work well without amp. even a tiny iPod Shuffle 2nd gen can play out quite loud on M50. cool.gif

actually i bought M30 first coz thought of will be using it only locally, but who knows later on changed plan so need a portable headphone.

eh??u have portable cans?i thought only m30 and m50 tongue.gif .

M50 is portable since it's foldable.

as i read from the forum, higher end AD series would shine better with proper amps....

QUOTE(zhinsara @ Sep 2 2009, 01:01 AM)
So i went to jaben over the weekend (singapore w/ the gf) and after 2 hours picked a pair of ATH-CKS70 for myself. I initially was looking at the ultimate ears superfi.3 but I didn't like how they sounded, and the gf and i liked the westone UM1's tapi no stock :S and cause i wanted something quick so it was the CKS-70. Nice and tight bass, bit warm sounding and intimate. I'm burning them in now.
*
the Solid Bass CKS70 eh, would love to hear a word or two bout the earphone after burned and tested. cool.gif

QUOTE(moniqee @ Sep 2 2009, 08:11 AM)
can anyone tell me the diff between FW3 and FC700?? ^^ i'm kinda torn between this two...
*
FC700's SQ is quite good for it's price and the portability. i think it's one of the best budget portable cans compared to the mid-range ES7 etc.

FW3 and ON3, both are OK for casual listening for the laid back nature. forget about using it in noisy environment, bad noise isolation.

can someone tell me what's the diff between ATH-SQ5 and ATH-FC700? which is better?
*
FC700 > SQ5.
tried both and loved FC700 for both SQ and comfy. somehow SQ5 is like clamping the head. sweat.gif
