Based on all I've read in various forums, I would be willing now to consider the 6 over the 6 Plus, but if the battery life is in iPhone 5 category then I would really, really regret it, haha...

QUOTE(decavalera @ Nov 14 2014, 06:20 PM) With my i6 better batt capacity, i didnt need to charge at all in my office.. Previously, i always need to recharge since i2G.. Do you use it much during office? E.g. Customers calling or messaging, lunch time browsing, occasional Candy Crush here and there, etc.?

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 14 2014, 06:25 PM) I try to use the ip6+ as my main phone. It lasted only 3+ weeks n is now relegated back as secondary phone. Its poorer functionality vs Android just turns me off. Now my main phone is Note4. I'm wondering when it will be relegated from "Your stuff" to "Your Ex Stuff"?

QUOTE(decavalera @ Nov 14 2014, 06:27 PM) I would say that if i didnt charge at all when i'm in my office, the batt usage will not last until i reach my car to go back.. With all my previous ip generations.. Ya, just what I was afraid of. I usually unplug my phone at 6am when I wake up and only reach home at 8pm after work and gym and stuffs.

QUOTE(barry80 @ Nov 14 2014, 11:16 PM) is this normal for heavy 3G surfing? 9 hours consider good enough? [attachmentid=4216945] If you are on a 6 and not a 6 Plus then yes

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Nov 15 2014, 11:00 AM) Been looking for hi-red wallpapers. Loving the preinstalled wallpaper of the purple flower. But wondering if I should keep this ... in line with my Space Grey and "Dark" look of my overall phone and casing ... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « By the way, downloaded the app to get wallpapers but it kept crashing. Deleted it but forgot the name of the app I put the purple flower on my Note 3. It looks weird, haha....

QUOTE(jumpstat @ Nov 15 2014, 02:20 PM) Thanks for the response. How does one know whether the phone locked or unlocked? Thanks in advance. If your maxis SIM card doesn't work with the phone, means it's locked

QUOTE(Townshend @ Nov 15 2014, 02:30 PM) Don't have time to play around with it, maybe I'll post another one later. It's ok la bro, I'm convinced the 6 won't last me through the day on a single charge. Thanks anyway!

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Nov 15 2014, 04:01 PM) Actually I guess it depends on what you want. My 6+ is unplugged about 7am +- and I tried re first couple of days of owning it testing the battery. I can reach home just barely scraping by with 16% left. My usage pattern is that when I'm at home, I don't charge my phone until I call it a day, which is before I go to sleep about 11:00/11:30 pm. I still need some juice at home to browse etc. while watching TV etc. So my current practice is to charge in the office when my battery reaches about 50% or so. Ya, my usage pattern is usually unplug from charge when I wake up @ 6am and then charge at home before I call it a day, also at about 11 or 11.30pm. Problem is being in sales I'm usually not in the office most of the time, so searching frantically for a power plug while I'm out is not an option, and I dunno how true about in car chargers shortening the lifespan of the phone battery, so it's something I try to avoid.

QUOTE(Townshend @ Nov 15 2014, 03:39 PM) You better get the 6 Plus then. I want an iPhone with a long battery life, but with the size of the current 6. Unfortunately, that's not possible at the moment. Ya, that's the plan, but reading all about the bugs and yet to be optimized apps somewhat bothers me, haha

QUOTE(genzi0401 @ Nov 15 2014, 04:41 PM) IMO this is only applied to US. Malaysians like bigger screen. LOL Ya, that's probably true. Also traditionally iPhone users are used to 3.5" or 4". 5.5" probably scares them.

QUOTE(dino89 @ Nov 15 2014, 04:56 PM) Advisable to not charge your phone using car chargers for too long. Look for a good powerbank is a better option QUOTE(Eithanius @ Nov 15 2014, 04:51 PM) In-car chargers I assume you're talking about those you can buy off the shelf and plug into car powpowerer outlet and not those USB ports that come built into the car, right...? Ya, I used to have one of those in car chargers, and we're talking a branded one which I paid close to 80 bucks for and I think it kinda damaged my iPhone 4 battery though the phone was old and the battery was probably worn out anyway. I do have a power bank at the moment but I find that it charges my Note 3 incredibly slow

QUOTE(Townshend @ Nov 15 2014, 05:27 PM) That will come later I think. Apple will sort the out the bugs and developers will optimize their apps for the bigger screen. So, no worries. Hence my dilemma to either invest in a 64GB 6 Plus now for the long term and wait patiently for updates or get a 16GB 6 first to satisfy my materialistic cravings (not helped by my active participation here) and go for the S version next year., hahaha

QUOTE(Townshend @ Nov 15 2014, 06:39 PM) Seriously, 16GB is too small. But, why not get the 16GB first, and when 64GB is available, unker can sell the 16GB and use the money to buy the 64GB iPhone 6 Plus ? Ya, most likely will do that

QUOTE(666devil @ Nov 17 2014, 12:06 PM) I have claimed warranty b4 from Apple online and their service is top notched. They will ship out ur replacement even b4 u send back urs. So it's very clear u never claim warranty from them b4. Used to buy from maxis too. Moved on and never look back. Wish u Happy enjoying maxis service and its future preorders. The only reason most people would buy from a Telco would be because they already need a phone plan so they want the subsidies. Anyone who has dealt with Apple's customer service before knows they are much better than our telco's customer service (of course, I am speaking from my own experience, and based on majority of what I've been reading on most forums).

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Nov 17 2014, 12:15 PM) True for me. I want the subsidised phone only. For the rest, if you do not need a contract plan, I always wonder why they want to fight for stock with postpaid line contract buyers during product launch. You can always buy direct from Apple/Machines/etc. Same RRP price. Previously I didn't buy subsidised phones, but realize how painful it is when the time comes for me to sell off the phone, coz of the resale value, particularly for Androids... So now I prefer to sign a contract coz I need a plan anyway, and even if it's the lowest plan a little subsidy is better than no subsidy. But I choose not to fight for stocks or participate in long queues anymore, and I also don't see a point in harrasing the telcos' CS and bringing up cases to tribunals (really?)...
