has anyone being approached by UOB recently about the Infinite supplementary card which is annual fee/admin fee/GST free?

before cny.

last friday i received sms at 5.00pm then directly reply.

today check my internet banking was cancelled.

but why i didnt received any sms ?

UOB reluctant to give gst waiver, time to say bye bye like my OCBC

nowadays they installed voice emotion detector on their phone call system. if you call and request for waiver, and threaten to cancel if not granted, they will first analyse your seriousness through your voice emotion. if the results show that you would not cancel but just wanted to get waiver, they may proceed with your cancellation and will not waive you.

When you play with fire, sometimes you get burnt the banks aren't stupid, they know that people threaten to cancel their credit cards all the time to force the bank to offer them more benefits. If the bank deems that you are not worth retaining, then they will proceed to the next step.

can i get 5% cb using vox at lazada, groupon, paypal, aliexpress, myeg, exabytes, airasia, malaysia airlines website? what is the cap, rm50 cb per month?

they offer me 3 years waiver for annual fee and GST

and told me after april no more GST

congrats! so they didn't terminate your card yet la. next time don't scare yourself ma.

banks unwilling to give waiver because come april 1st, all cards no more RM50 charge. GST mah.
so they figure cards not worth subsidising in this month lor. not worth it.

i talked to them yesterday, the guy insisted they will not waive gst NO MATTER WHAT..
I am going to cancel their card soon, in fact i've cancelled their Preferred Platinum, One Platinum next

the retention call centre just called to offer me 3 years annual fee waiver and gst waived for both cards, condition is I have to use back the preferred master card, since nothing to lose, i think it's ok to say yes to them this time

I already terminated my VI last month. Told them I am firm, so it was cancelled right away.
