i suspect it is the way u drive and the route u travel daily

cannot be. during my testing period, i was a light food god. didnt rev pass 3k rpm. also got crap mileage. might as well tekan only now. same results.

on the civic - consuming fuel was never at the back of my mind. i drive as i wish, speed as fast as i wish. definitely will hit 450kms on a single full tank. in civic, i also wait in car and leave the engine running. i always off while waiting in my almera. cry.gif

Just test drive Almera last weekend. Was impressed with the space and price. Asked the salesperson about warranty, he said won't void even if I bring my own engine oil. Is this true?  blink.gif

Serious? There is a saying goes like this, "If every single word of SA can be trusted, female pig climbs up the tree". Lol...

Hi guys, just join this family. thinking to get the OBD speed lock but could not find the OBD socket underneath the steering. If i wana do the DIY do i need to dismantle d compartment? thanks sifu for the guidance
*
The OBD port is actually quite hidden.
U actually need to detach the plastic cover below the steering to see it.
It's actually better to get the technician to help you with it.

Yup, plug and play.
Just like that.
But technician is recommended cause the OBD socket might need slight adjustment after you plug in the brake/speed lock.
Or else the plastic cover cant close back tightly.

civic is bigger. full tank would be approx RM10 more than the almera. i've factored that calculation in.

almera full tank = rm73 (32.3 litres)
kms - 340
10.5km/litre

civic full tank = rm83 (36.725 litres)
kms - 450
12.25km/litre

After a month and 2k km driving Almera I found out that it's not suitable for traffic jam drive because it consumes petrol like water. I'm constantly clocking 330km +- / Rm50 fuel these days with 60 /40.

This one clear most of our doubts on RON.

Actually our car needs at least RON 91. So RON 95 is more than enough.

I paid 79k for the same car u could buy for 65.

Problems? Every car also has them. Better to be owning a jap rather than a malaysian.

Just my 2 cents.

thought u wanted to avoid nissan already?

personally, 120k mileage is high. since 2010, means this owner travels alot and with alot travelling, it deteriorates the car.

i'd avoid it. u are driving a brand new car, why wanna get 2nd hand?

unless u buy it brand new.
