Its about time to renew my insurance as when i bought my car last yr it was Tan Chong (AXA Ins).I did compare fe co quoat and found
Takaful in cheaper by 150 as they give 10% discount for walkin and also if you dont claim you get 15% cash rebet .
My question is if accident will i have any problem if using TAKAFUL but send the car to Tan Chong ?
I mean if i switch from Tan Chong AXA to TAKAFUL will i have delay when it comes to insurance claim and things like that ?

My previous one was Lonpac by TC. Hated the service, very slow. Even the body n paint office ppl in TC complain. The only fine print benefit is, if u total loss u can get their NISSCARE. Nissan for Nissan vehicle replacement scheme. But im not sure if you can actually get back a NEW Almera without paying extra. Other than that they will include everything n windscreen. Quite expensive.

Since the service is bad, I ended up with Kurnia. Recommended by the insurance ppl as one of the fast responding companies. Its regular insurance slightly cheaper cause no special TC service n benefits. So touch wood, I dont have to claim.

I'm also going to renew my roadtax soon and still thinking which to take. Unfortunately Takaful is not in the panel list.

Any recomendation here ? I did post the list of insurance panel by Nissan in other post.

All of them are the same. Just ask their opinion on which company more proactive. I personally dont like Lonpac and Berjaya Sompo. The rest like Tokio Marine, Alianz, Kurnia, Uniasia, and AXA seems to be common companies that is good.

Any idea how to turn off the daytime running light?

Btw is it normal for the drivers door able to open even after you locked it? I mean after i lock my door, i can still open the door from inside.

Yes its normal. Its a preventive thing. In case u accident/rosak and the door cant open. If you notice most new cars dont hv auto lock when u drive. A safety feature in case of accidents, so the door can open and u can escape.

normal…..when u press center lock to lock all doors, only driver side can be open from inside but cannot be open from outside. safety feature in case driver panic after accident.

I got small fracture came out at the bottom of my almera side skirt. Any idea roughly how much to fix this? 😭

last time have a chat with a nissan guy. he say the nissan to nissan replacement is actually depend on ur insurance coverage. say if ur total lost coverage is rm50k, and a new almera is 60k u need to pay the extra 10 k.

I just got a 2nd hand almera. Need to ask some question cos imma noob and the car doesnt come w a manual/handbook. The car is 2015 made (1yr old only) but has got no service record (odo says 20,9++ only) with the radio unit changed and used car seller did oil service themselves already. The car is repainted (bodykit also different colour) & i noticed the screws on the body has been tempered with (refer pic), most probably for the repainting.

1) does the repainting, tempered screws & self service voids the warranty?
2) when drive on uneven road, got 'tak tak tak' sound. Read this thread & many experience this also. What sound is that and is it really normal? How to remedy this?
3) got a bit of metal brushing sound at the tyre sometimes. What may be the cause since its kinda worrying for me.
4) if i wanna send the car to remedy the above 2 probs & for future services, shud i go to official sc or go 3rd party?

car in accident b4 kah? if got better check if they repair 3rd party or nissan.

if the repainting is done by sc den they should come with 1 year warranty. warranty wouldn't void if the previous owner fulfill all the service done previously.

Used carvtrader said no accident. Maybe they unscrew for the repainting. The car got no service record previously albeit the odo has got 20k on it... so i guess it wasnt repaired by nissan. And repainting is by the used car trader. Conclusion: void warranty?
What about the tak tak sound when drive on uneven road & the brushing metal sound at the tire? Any idea what are those extra music?

Tak tak i not sure if similar to what the issue faced by other almerian here. Cuz i din experience b4. Could be the spring koyak maybe? Could be driveshaft also.

If no accident y the car got repaint? Thats what i wondering. Btw, where is the missing screw u mentioned located? Maybe we can compare with our car.
