bro...im driving 2005 lmst manual

my fc is very sad....pump RM60 can only drive 300km. (city drive)

Problem
1. I felt that the engine vibrate strongly especially when the car is idle. But once the car is moving, no more vibration. My friend said that need to change rubber....but how should I tell this to my mechanic?

2. Anything to look for to reduce my fc? You may assume that I drive below 2.5rpm (all practical stuff). But I want to seriously reduce this fc....

tq bro =)

Your RM60 is using which oil price? Please help us convert to litres ok? There are many things that affect your fc.
1. your engine status (ie. how long din do basic service/ overhaul/leaking or not)
2. Your route condition, you mentioned city drive but need to know got jam or not?
3. Your exhaust (stock factory or modified to get more hp?)
4. Tyres condition: What rim and tyres are you using?

Those are some surface stuffs that I can think of now. Let quatz and albert answer you about the mechanic part.

Your engine idle at what rpm? It could be:
1) Your engine idling at wrong idle timing
2) Carburetor dirty already
3) Engine status
4) Engine mounting damaged already (the most unlikely cause you say once driving no more vibrate)

Best to bring it to a trusty mechanic and have him check for you...
Find the guy under the coconut tree and you end up like me, paying hundreds and thousand and get the same problem.

tq bro for reply..

8.7litres per 100km, using ron95.

1. your engine status (ie. how long din do basic service/ overhaul/leaking or not)
i bought second hand car since 2013 may. no leaking. Never do basic service. Don't know what is overhaul. Will ask my mechanic...

2. Your route condition, you mentioned city drive but need to know got jam or not?
kampung area. less jam. around 20km per day.

3. Your exhaust (stock factory or modified to get more hp?)
stock factory. No modi as i see it's all original when bought.

4. Tyres condition: What rim and tyres are you using?
stock.

Your engine idle at what rpm? It could be:
idle around 1rpm...can hear the sound especially when baru start the car....it fluctuates around 1rpm.

1) Your engine idling at wrong idle timing
should be at what rpm? I will ask mechanic.

2) Carburetor dirty already
will go ask.. how much is this?

3) Engine status
seems okay for me.

4) Engine mounting damaged already (the most unlikely cause you say once driving no more vibrate)
will check.

will find those trusted shop. No coconut nut trees around my kampung =D

1. Engine oil cap (RM15).....is regular replacement of this thing necessary? And for what purpose?

2. Gear oil (RM32), is it applicable to lmst manual?

3. Air filter (RM8), how frequent should I change this?

4. radiator flushing, water pump, and alternator.....may i know the cost and how frequent should I replace these things?

When the indicator is down to the last 2 bars, the petrol used
is about 38 litres. So in your case 400 km / 38 lit = 10.5 km/l
which is typical for non-highway driving.

thx bro, i got some noob question, haha

when i start my car...the rpm is less than 1....it is around 700/800, when on aircon (from idle), the engine sound very big and shaky (i guess because the car tries to push up the rpm but susah....i need to step minyak a little bit so that it sound more quiet (push rpm to 1,000 rpm)

what do you think I should do? i saw most ppl saga start car sound not very loud, not like me...

want to ask

1. when my car starts from cold, e.g., in the morning, the rpm struggles to catch up. sometimes drop to as low as 600 rpm.....normally need to wait for few minutes to ensure smoother driving.

anyway to over come this issue?

2. i felt that my car bonnet vibrates alot (i can feel it from my driving seat and dashboard) especially when i'm idle on the road. If on aircon, the situation is worsen. Normally i need to pijak minyak abit to force rpm to go a little higher (the reading while idle with aircon on is around 1000, sometimes is 900, so i need to pijak minyak a bit to let it go around 1100 to feel less vibration and quietness)

what should i do to improve the situation?

3. the cat is going to kaput soon, especially front bonnet and roof. I heard of carbon fiber stuff. Good or not, and budget?

4. my fren recommend me install sobar (is it how that is pronounced?), spring (at the rear), is it good? budget? haha

5. he also recommend me change brake oil (coz he sees very dark d), but i go to repair shop, the repair shop says normally they don't change brake oil, only adding. Lol. what should i do?

6. there's a leaking part (see photo), i gg liao? but i see the ground, no leaking wor.....the photo seems like the part is wet. What part is it? repair expensive ma? =(

7. lastly, my fren also recommend changing gearbox. mine is manual. He didn't test drive my car, just suggest only. What's your opinion on it?

8. i heard of installing what iswara changing engine to 4g15 for better fc. Should i go for it?

9. those rubber rubber stuff. I heard changing is quite expensive, especially the engine part where it needs to be mounted. Is overhaul same meaning of mounting?

Thank you =)

It can be the cap of the brake fluid also. Adjust the cap a bit, and it'll be okay. It happened to me, previously.

now it's time for my saga lmst to do timing belt change, water pump, and play a bit with suspension upgrade (absorber, stabilizer bar)

Question: if i buy the parts myself (e.g., water pump), and bring it to mechanic, is it a better option?

Coz i worry that mechanic may feel that he earn not much, and later on labor charge kena me kau kau...

haha....
