So actually where is this development by UM Land?

Not far from Mahkota Hills (Bandar Akademia) ?

I'm suprised....even giant bumi developers such as Sime Darby and I&P (both wholly owned by PNB) only allow 50% bumi quota...may be some of the land in Mahkota Hills are Malay Reserved Land..

I thought Malay reserved land, non malays totally cannot buy....ada quota one meh?

can non malay buy into kampung baru land???

I have same understanding as BeanCounter. Malay Reserved Land is purely for malay ownership.

Maybe tuaki developer tweak the game. We just need Perkasa to f*ck it up in the mass media and this project will go haywired.

There is also another class of land...under religion...that one I think can have higher bumi quota like 70%....there is one such development in USJ.

Such allocation will affect the pricing...now and then.

Hi All, I just bought a sub-sale unit at Taman Tasik Semenyih.
Prolly will move in somewhere in February 2015.
I plan to stay only on Friday to Monday due to my in law's house is nearer to my office. so it's more economical if I just stay there.
Is anyone here already staying at Semenyih area?
How's the environment like?

UMLand is planning to launch the first phase of Mahkota Hills next month or in June. The 355.7-acre project is located in the southern part of Semenyih near Eco Majestic by Eco World Development Group Bhd ( Financial Dashboard), and 14km from The University of Nottingham Malaysia campus. It has an overall gross development value of RM2 billion.

Thanks for the info... So this mahkota hills is a joint venture with Lion Group? If not mistaken the whole Mahkota Hills spanning from 1800 acres, how come from UM Land only 355.7 acres?
