Hi guys, I'm a GP owner myself. Tried looking for the other thread but found out it's been deleted.
Unit: Smart Suite on 25th floor, Oxford tower
Since the smart suite units don't come with a hob or cooker, I've looked at the kitchen design and am wondering what I can do to install a single burner. Is anyone else thinking of converting the cabinet to install the hob and cooker? Any ideas would be great.
If that fails, might buy a portable gas stove.

Ahh, thanks for the suggestions. I've used portable induction cookers before but usually get impatient since you can only cook one dish at a time. This is a good option for the time being but for the long term, I'm looking into getting a built in electric and ceramic stovetop like this: http://www.rinnai.com.my/product/category/14/35. Hopefully the labour and wiring cost won't be that high. Edit: looking at the pics on GP's website, I don't think there's any space to cut out a hole for the built in induction top. Guess it's the portable induction cooker then. *sighhhhh This post has been edited by mataharih: Jan 24 2015, 12:14 AM

QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Jan 26 2015, 03:22 PM) For your reference, I bought at 348k August last year, after discount 10% 313k, 23Ath (24th) floor, Havard also. So far no idea how is the facilities gonna be like for Harvard tower, but we got our own dedicated facilities/swimming pool, not sharing with the other 2 blocks. You got a very good price! Is yours the 700sq ft smart suite?

QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Jan 24 2015, 11:20 AM) Built in 1 sure is nice, with at least 2 cookers. Saw this combo yesterday at Index Living at IOI City Mall. What u think? Cute! And looks like we may not need to cut a hole in the table counter. Do you recall the price for both hood and cooker?

QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Jan 27 2015, 10:56 AM) No la bro, for Harvard, 700 & 1000 sqft units starts from 27th floor onwards. Refer below: I bought mine on 2014, late buyer that's why expensive, somemore don't have addidtional 5% discount eventhough no DIBS I bought mine late too in January 2014 after the previous buyer's loan was rejected. Was originally looking at Shaftsbury but even the studio was damn pricey at RM300,000 three years ago. Got my 700sqft unit for around RM360,000 with discount and I thought that was expensive! QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Jan 27 2015, 05:11 PM) Something about the kitchen again... I just posted this in Renovation subforum Below is the floor plan for my 1-bedder studio unit. As u can see the pantry area is really small and not utilised. I plan to renovate it into a functional kitchen like this, which consists of U shape wall and floor cabinets, complete with worktops, sinks/taps, and hood/hob. What do u guys think? Wonder how much would it cost Wow, that's quite an add-on but it looks good! I'm guessing anywhere from RM4000-RM10,000? My unit overlooks the smaller tower in front of me and Putrajaya. I feel sorry for the units stuck in the middle of the two buildings...passed GP on my way back to Putrajaya in the afternoon and noticed they don't get any sun at all. Eh, but could be due to the time I went there. This post has been edited by mataharih: Jan 27 2015, 06:02 PM

Wasn't able to take pics of the site progress but looks like the Oxford building has trees planted on one level, probably the swimming pool area. Gu~wak_zhai, I went to Home Pro earlier and saw a lot of stove tops. The ceramic ones (the double cooker) were around RM1400 to RM1700 and slim hoods were from RM400 to RM700. Not bad! The lady there showed me a slim hood that could be installed on the kitchen counter but it cost RM4000. No thanks. This post has been edited by mataharih: Jan 29 2015, 06:57 PM

QUOTE(PeterSpring @ Feb 4 2015, 05:16 PM) Went to checked on GP, I can see some of the units already have furniture install, most of them are student suites in Oxford ... Did you take any pictures? How's the quality of the furniture? Since I live nearby, thinking of dropping by to have a look myself. Oh, just visited Garden Plaza's unofficial FB page. Not bad! I went to see Garden Plaza today in the afternoon. Wow, it looks so bright and cheerful! PeterSpring, tried looking for the furniture in the lower units but couldn't see anything except for some shadows in the pics on FB. When I was at the site, I could see a few objects in the lower units of Oxford. Luckily, for those staying in Oxford facing the building right across from us, on floors 24 and above, we'll have some view of Putrajaya. My fear was that the view on my floor will be blocked by the tower across from us, which is Harvard, I think. I'm excited to see some progress!

QUOTE(PeterSpring @ Feb 6 2015, 05:49 PM) You also Oxford? Facing view inside or LKW area? If u are lucky enough, maybe can see swimming pool .. Hahah >_> facing the inside or swimming pool view. The sales agent told me I'll have a view of Putrajaya instead of the direct view of the opposite tower so I hope he didn't lie to me!

Oxford 450sfq Max is 19th floor, facing cambrige (21th floor) so depends on what floor you are lor... 25th floor, mine is the 700 sq ft Private suite or smart suite. actually I'm not sure what's the difference between the private suite and smart suite.

QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Feb 7 2015, 09:56 PM) If facing inside then the SA didn't lie, since Cambridge top is only at 21st floor. If ur unit is facing swimming pool (unit 12 to 20), Cambridge may block ur front view a little bit, while Harvard may block ur view on the right side. Refer this: Yes but Oxford's top is at 28th floor, whereas Harvard is 29th floor, since he's at 25th floor, so Harvard tower may block his view. Haha, I'm female. Oh, I got the two towers mixed up! I thought Harvard was Cambridge and vice versa. I'm facing Cambridge so I have some view of Putrajaya. Yay!

QUOTE(gu~wak_zhai @ Feb 8 2015, 05:05 PM) Are u buying this for own stay or investment? My own stay. I chose this place because I'm used to area and like this location. GP is very close to Presint 11 (where I used to live), Alamanda, Putrajaya Sentral and now IOI City Mall. Oh and I frequent Shaftsbury Square a lot lol so I hope the shop tenants will be promising. Good to know there'll be another path to the Mex Hwy.

Completed by March? Hmm, that's a little optimistic lol. Anyways, I've been looking at the future LRT map for Putrajaya. I recall the SA telling me there are plans to develop a lrt station near Lim Kok Wing in a few years time. If that truly happens, then this location would be ideal.

QUOTE(PeterSpring @ Mar 9 2015, 12:57 PM) Will you rent to Pak Hitam and Middle East ? You've been quite insistent on not renting out to foreign students but aren't they the target market for home owners since they can most likely afford the high rent? While it would be nice to rent out to locals, I'm not sure that's feasible since there will be lots of home owners vying for these renters. I'm just curious to know if you've had bad experiences with foreigners before. But I do get your concern, hope those renting will wisely select their tenants whether they're locals or foreigners.

No such letter from Mah Sing. PeterSpring, any new pics of GP? This is a bit off-topic but I just wanted to compare the price of GP to other projects in Cyberjaya. I went to D'Pulze and UEM Sunrise were trying to sell their units at Verdi Eco-dominium. Can't believe it will be 40 stories tall! And the units are too pricey for me...I think the 700sq ft 1-bedroom was RM480,00 while the 900-something sq ft 2-bedroom was above RM500,000!!! That's crazy! Wish I was rich enough to buy a unit but looking at that crazy price, I'm amazed at how overpriced apartments are in Cyberjaya.
