QUOTE(RedSiglap56 @ Dec 8 2014, 06:06 PM)
This is really too bad.

If a manager says he bought a player because he has no other option, one would expect that he already plans to offload him soon.

Does BR seriously expect the likes of Balo to become motivated to prove him wrong?! Balo certainly has his own problems, but BR has really opened his mouth and put his own foot in! So, was he buying just to use up the budget given, just to get people off his back?!

Aiyo, we don't need this just before such a crucial CL game!

There was a time when I though Rodgers is a decent enough speaker in front of the media. laugh.gif Our main problem is that we have a stubborn coach who thought he knew it all after half a season of other individuals' inspired success and became arrogant while continuing to ignore the problems that were inherent from the beginning. I have no idea why Borini is still not playing regularly when the lad is fit and ready.

The noose has been placed on Rodgers now. Basel and United will be the defining moments for him. At this time, the chance of De Boer coming in to replace him is getting higher

Drinking game for tomorrow night (using orange juice, of course!). Drink whenever these are mentioned;

-Istanbul
-Gerrard being a sub of late
-A Brendan cliche
-'Waterfall' during a commentary silence
-Finish your orange juice whenever Gerrard's goal vs olympiakos is shown

If anyone can think of any more please reply. Enjoy!

Well, can't say I didn't see that coming. When you put a player like Lambert alone up front expecting him to do a job like Suarez did, you deserve this. And we still expect the 34 year old G to actually save us. lol

Lallana, the 25 million man who have been playing well is sitting on the bench while we have the likes of Allen on the field. laugh.gif

Farking Mignolet. I'd rather have Jones at this point rather than letting this clown at the goal

Great fighting spirit but we ultimately owe it to ourselves for our demise. LOL@Skrtel as the striker.

If this doesn't seal Rodgers' fate, then the match against United will. Ironic really

Great effort by the team. Especially lovren. BR really going to be out soon i guess. The only thing might save him is january transfer.
*
LOL why is the January transfer might save him? Do you really expect FSG to trust this guy to buy players again?

Even for the more positive ones out there, it's hard to get behind Rodgers anymore at this point. He keeps making the same things over and over when they have been proven multiple times that they don't work. Same formation, same players, same mistakes. He keeps on starting players like Allen (his godson) when we have the likes of Can and Lallana on the bench. And Henderson is just undropable no matter how shitty and inconsistent he is.

Last season's over achievement has become this season's burden. Without SAS we showed out true skin, as a midtable team. Rodgers owe it to himself for this mess he is in. You don't just spend >100m and getting these kind of results. The match against Man u will be the final nail in his coffin. Ironic

Rodgers shat on Spuds for spending >100m and struggling to get into the top 4, and we're in the same mess right now. We bought Southampton's core players and we're doing worse at the moment. And we shat on man u last season for the exact same shit we're in now. Karma

Remy is mysterious. We cancel signing him because of fail medical but he ended up going to Chelsea after that. Or something fishy is involve in that deal?

My best guess, "someone" in the club thought Balo was the better choice.

Robbie Fowler ''I can't believe he didn't take Allen off, it's like having a little kid on the pitch''.

God has spoken. What else Rodgers has to say for himself and his godson?

"Still in negotiation". But really, with our current form and the future of Rodgers hanging by a thread, who could blame him? I would imagine he is seeing a future away from Liverpool. Real Madrid maybe.

It's time to screw potential and go on the jugular. How can a player's ambition be met if you keep surrounding them with mediocre players.

I have said earlier, Liverpool's failure to retain their key players in the recent years will hurt the club for a long long time.
*
Atletico Madrid, Porto, Dortmund and Arsenal would like to have a word.

QUOTE(jacckl @ Dec 13 2014, 12:11 AM)
Sterling will improve much more if he play at RM than here. Did anyone notice nobody yell at sterling every time he try to dribble and lose the ball? Last season Suarez constantly yell at Sterling, Sturbridge if they try to be selfish rather than pass the ball. Sterling is still young and he need proper guidance, nobody seem to play that role, not Gerrard and certainly not Henderson
*
Sterling only started getting better with his passing and shooting entering the 2nd half old last season. The season where Suarez + DST were godlikes. So yeah

Just watched Liverpool's season review 2013/14. Aspas was actually very decent when he first started. I think the quality of the SAS pressured him so much to be at their level and of course, Rodgers not giving him any chance at all.

When I saw Allen on the team sheet and no real striker up front, then I was truly convinced that BR has gone nuts. Sterling was mad shitty with his finishing but really he was our best player tonight. Gerrard and Hendo didn't contribute anything and really the worst players next to Allen. Was Lucas injured or something? Why didn't he play him when he's been proven vital for our defence repeatedly. What was he thinking subbing Moreno for Markovic? Where was Can?

Goodbye Rodgers. Take Allen with you on your way out.

liverpool are stuck with brendan for now. Owners dont have the balls to sack him, and he obviously will never resigns
*
Nah. It's because the owners don't want to give him another dime. laugh.gif And they're looking to implement a system with a Director of football in it so it's gonna take time to find the right guy. A caretaker should be the last option but it could change depending on the results against Bournemouth and Arsenal; which I think we aren't gonna win.

Yup, the Mata goal was offside, but if it was rule offside, does it make any difference? Nop. Liverpool will still lose.

And yea, even Balotelli could had chip the ball instead of shot it right to De Gea. De Gea is great yesterday, but no way near godlike mode. All the save he made, its just a simple run forward and block, was there any difficulty? No at all for a keeper at EPL level.

They should learn how to chip the ball from Welbeck.  laugh.gif
*
De Gea's positioning was world class. He's definitely the best keeper in EPL atm. Give credit where credit is due. He's been saving utd's ass for sometime now. Our keepers on the other hand...... rclxub.gif

I do give credit to him, he is definitely great yesterday, and well deserved MOTM.
But Sterling and Balotelli should never hide behind the greatness of De Gea and luck, they simply sucks at poaching goal.
*
Sterling got really good last season thank to the influence of SAS. Without players like them in the squad, Sterling is going nowhere. He's already under a huge pressure being the main man up front, expected to do what SAS did. And I would imagine, his relationship with Rodgers is already burned. If we're gonna convince him to stay, we need a top class manager and a top class striker.
