So far my couple of hours with the 6+
1) Slightly larger than the S3 that I used (before I jumped ship to 5S) but acceptable
2) Doesn't feel "balanced" (maybe need to get used to it). When using the device the top sometimes feels heavier and can do backflip out of your hands... I prefer bottom heavy.
Other than that, relatively happy with purchase... other annoyances are lack of "perfect" accessories but that will come slowly.

1 day experience with 6 Plus.. no problem switching from iP5 to the gigantic 6 plus. Probably due to the fact i am also using xperia Z ultra.. hehe..
experience so far so good but again.. now looking for a decent case for temporary use while waiting for my felt case to arrive..

There was overflow of gold units... that's why lots of gold balance. I think today stock in was about 60+% gold for the reseller (and not because they ordered gold on purpose) I got my device from.

Looking back at the crazily high demand for the Gold IP5s, Apple has learnt their lesson.
