Even TechnoBuffalo editor said he faces same problem with his ip6+ 128 GB model - recall possibility ?? I don't think so. One user posted the Korean site analysis of this issue yesterday or 2 days back and one guy even said is unreliable probably a Samsung concocted fake news !!!
I remember some ip6+ users here had reported too similar issues with their phones
Even if this is true, I seriously doubt Apple will admit and will just replace the problematic sets
Latest news Apple had denied such a recall of the 128GB ip6+ but the rumour of this set being problematic is still there

just wondering on the telco contract thingy.
is that only for new signup or can convert current plan to iphone plan?
*
You need to cancel first your existing plan ( if you are on contract) and paid all the necessary compensation . Than sign up for the new plan. You need to check with your telco the amount you need to compensate them. Depending on how many months you has left it might not even be worth to cancel
If your plan is non contract than is just a matter of signing up the new contract plan

According to soyacincau tweet : This dude had his iPhone 6 Plus delivered by Maxis CEO while watching Interstellar on IMAX
Maxis really put in efforts to track down his whereabouts to deliver the phone

No you can't. Whatsapp doesnt have a cloud for both Android and iOS. iOS stores backup via iCloud. You can only restore chat groups with successful verification on your new iPhone.
*
Yes you can do it. I transfer about 2gb Android data to my ip6+. You need use this program

http://www.backuptrans.com/android-whatsap...e-transfer.html

I took about 20 mins to fully transfer all my whatsapp messages. Perfect transfer

Can I use this program to transfer SIM card contacts too?
*
Sorry no idea. Don't remember seeing such option in program. Still having contacts in simcard ?? I thought this is already a practice stop long ago
These days most phone users put their contacts at icloud or their gmail account. So you can change phone anytime n need not worry. Just sync down contacts to phone

I beg to differ. My Iphone 6 is Gold and my 6+ is Space Grey. I feel the Gold brings out the curves of the Iphone better than the Grey does. I also prefer the white lines at the back of the Gold because it says "Hey, Im a 6/6+".  laugh.gif

Or maybe because Im a Gold fan, Im a bit biased?hmm  hmm.gif
*
Gold just turn me off. The shade is just too pale. I prefer silver over it. Saw these 3 colors n decided on space grey as I don't like the white front
Anyway everyone taste is different. Just be happy with your choice
Strange I still see users asking which color is best color to buy. Simple, buy with your heart n take which appeals to you better

Couldn't agree more, haha.. Buy what you like. smile.gif

Uncle Benny, you owned a lot of phones over the years. Which do you think is the best looking one, and how would you rate your 6 plus next to it?
*
On day one I already said ip6+ is poorly design ergonomics wise. It is too big for a 5.5 inch display. It us even slightly longer than my ex LG G Pro2 ( 6 inch) and Note4. The whole phone feels unbalanced . I immediately bought a backcase to protect the rear jutting camera. I don't feel secure holding it naked. Design wise seriously I am not impressed. My ex ip5 is better
My taste of design will differ from many other ip fans who will praise it . Anyway that is my personal assessment

My Nexus 4 doesn't bend...but that's not the point here. Would love to get some feedback on some general uses, like what happens after putting in pocket and normal daily activities. Been following http://www.oneofthenine.com/ and it doesn't look so good..
*
Seriously bending my ip6+ is impossible. You need to purposely bend it as what that guy does in the video. Who in his right mind will ever wants to do that
Just get at least a backcase case if you worry it bending in your front pockets
This bending problem is just being overblown I would say
I had been using this ip6+ coming to 3 weeks already

Is iPhone 6 run smoother than 5s? Cos didn't have ip6 to compare now .
*
Most ip6,6+ users will said ip is no longer the buttery smooth phone as before..only diehard fans will insist is still as smooth as previous ip5/5s
I supposed is ios8 still yet to be fully optimised for the new phones. You can read about this even in other ip forums with several users lamenting this problem of smoothness

It feels weird for first time users. Because they are used to the small fonts and layout for the 5/5s.
*
I hope the fonts can be even bigger

It's simply because it's too big for some tastes, and it should have been smaller if we turned the auto text resizing to the smallest in settings.

Try and set text to smallest in settings and open telegram and compare.

I just checked the App Store and there was no update since sept 23. I'm sure they're working on a fix.
*
I don't use telegram n unable to compare. This is smallest font size n still looks sufficiently good to me
My usual font sizes on the ip6+ is about 2 levels above smallest

facebook and wechat fixed.

and omg wtf bbg whatsapp !!!

btw my ip 6+ feels laggy.

maybe coz i restored everything from my icloud.

gotta start fresh and reset later.
*
The ip6+ is laggy even worse in 8.02 but improved much on 8.1. Sometimes only will notice some stuttering n lag. Gone are days of smoothness as in ip5 ( no experience with ip5s). Apple will need more work to optimize its firmware on the bigger phones. As of now my other Note4 thumps it greatly on UI smoothness

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Nov 7 2014, 08:34 AM)
Slow when browsing or detecting wifi signals?

I had issues with the 2nd point. It took some time for it to detect my home wifi network. I turned wifi on/off a couple of times only managed to detect.

Strange thing is at the store, it detected the shop wifi almost instantaneously!

Using a 6 Plus as well.
Sorry to hear that bro. I know your pain. I suppose your other phone you were using has no issue right?

Is it only certain parts of the screen or the whole screen? Better check mine too. How did you notice it? When looking at screens with white background?

Maybe wait for stock to stabilise and maybe can claim warranty?

Like I said about my Note 2, I didn't realise because there was matte screen protector.

I'm not sure if the burn in was already there when I bought the phone or not. But it wasn't visible when I have the sp applied.

I think my iPhone 4 also had this issue. Didn't realise until I saw it side by side with someone else's iPhone 4. Decided to live with it.

Perfect WiFi at home (P1) n tested at several cafe outlets in BP n KL. Very happy n zero complains on WiFi.

It doesn't even lag or hang on mine
I imported over 2gb of whatsapp data from my previous Android LG G Pro2
Only disadvantage in IOS all media stuffs dump together in camera roll m unable to assign 3rd party specific ringtones to its notifications

Does virtual home consume a lot of battery?
*
Really, I had no idea. I still see my usage till 5% staying around 12 hours . I am already very happy with the ip6+ battery life and this is the only aspect of the phone that really impresses me. So I'd think it doesn't affect battery much. In fact after reading what this VirtualHome can do, I had not even bother to think about battery usage

oh ya 1 question.

double "tap" will bring down the icons to the bottom.

but then when we install virtual home , double taps suppose to bring up the multitask view.

will both of these function crash?

please do advise
*
NO need to doubletap to bring up multitask. Just lay finger very slightly longer on home button n you get to see the multi task view
