Damning assessment from jose, about the team's performance vs Shrewsbury. It was quite sloppy and slow at times but perhaps a bit harsh on salah?could've had 2 assists easily,if not for schurrle inexplicably putting Salah's perfect cross for him across goal sweat.gif.

Apart from his wayward shooting in the first half,i think for a bit part player he did quite okay. His lay-off for drogs to finish was perfectly weighted too. Now as for schurrle, I'm running out of excuses for him and i'm not sure why Salah was subbed instead of the german.

Yes it might've been to regain some fitness but it looks like willian is close to becoming one of jose's untouchables, and schurrle won't have anyone but himself to blame. That pinpoint cross which lead to the own goal was hands down willian's most crucial contribution and puts to shame andre's running around without much end product for 90 minutes.

Overall it was a good workout actually, and keeps the players in check, particularly regarding the importance of consistent top quality performances. A 4 or 5 goal trashing might only lead to complacency, and a hard fought match like this is welcome every once in awhile. It's basically an important reminder after the man utd game that there's no such thing as an easy match and the players will have to battle in every game.

A perfect 'introduction' so to speak before the QPR match ,which will be tricky but I can't wait to see costa back in blue to strike fear in their defenders icon_idea.gif

they'll be giving it 200% just like Shrewsbury, so the boys should know what to expect!

is he considered as home grown? hmm.gif

If yes then not bad. Terry will not get any younger. Christensen have a huge step if wanna b in first team squad. If Terry hang his boot, we only have Cahill, Zouma and Iva.

MU needs someone experienced to organize their back 4.

don't really appeal to me as well, having Pique as our CB..

Varane would be nice, but iinm, he just signed new contract with Real.

How about Mat Hummels from Dortmund? Dortmund not doing very well in the league. Maybe they wil be in lower half of the table, then players can leave on a cheap. whistling.gif

Hope Kalas get more game time in Cologne. If he can perform in Bundesliga, I think he can do well in the PL. Still not sure why Mou loan him and signed Zouma. sweat.gif

I dont think Dortmund will let Hummels go so fast, especially when Bayern is lining up for Reus.
BVB has a policy of selling only 1 star per year i think

Should not have loan him there.
kesian kalas.
as for zouma, is too hard not to buy young prospects.
I think in time he will be another monster in the making.

tbh, til now I haven't see Zouma's game. Schrewbury, pre season games that he played all I missed. doh.gif

What type of player he is actually? Something like a Terry (no nonsense)? or Carvalho/Luiz type (ball playing defender)? rclxub.gif

I for one would love to see him in blues. I am already a fan of his since Man Utd days and was really bad luck for him not to make into first XI when they have the likes of Ferdinand, Brown, Vidic. He is similar to Desailly type; organize back 4 like what yokoloco mentioned. Strong and tall physical gives opposition a hard time and slim chance. And having 1 Spanish at one department..? brows.gif It would be a great addition, provided he is home grown, but I doubt the reliability of this news anyways.

Zouma is Kompany or Pepe alike. Sometimes too rough might get him into trouble. If he goes to midfield, it's Gattuso, Keane, De Jong type. Have better picture now? tongue.gif

Yea. Something like our legend Desailly? brows.gif

If he can develop better body strength, I think he can outmuscle strikers. And also Drog might be able to help him in that part in training. whistling.gif

Didn't watch bro. Too tired dy that dat. laugh.gif

I think Terry still have a good 2 years left in him in top level. After that, time for Zouma to step up dy. flex.gif
