It's triangle. The model is AR09HVFSB.
Nice & very informative by you master Halcyon.

You're welcome and just halcyon27 will do. All here share and share alike. That model you bought is entry inverter so should be ok. If your installer has not done Samsung before, show him the manual esp on the 3 points above.

For inaba denko pipes for 1 hp, forumer biatche has spare inaba denko paircoil insulated copper pipes that he wants to sell. pm him.

After end of this year, Daikin will stop bring in split units from Thailand. They will rebadge "York" split units to "Daikin" as replacement in Malaysia market.
Anyone wish to get Daikin products from Thailand need to be hurry up!

That means the FTKD and FTKS models are affected?

alright...and one thing about servicing,if lets say my house have different brands of aircond like Sharp ,Lg and panasonic .do i need a few different service personal to come or one single perosal can service and repair it all ?
*
My installer services all for me. It's common tech just different brand & models with varying service maintenance peculiarity owing to their inherent engineering and design. ME being the easiest to service vs other brands.

The local Pana Shop quoted me RM1680 1HP Inverter 2015 model with installation. Pana increased the price stating better features and energy efficiency compared to the previous inverter, which they dont keep stock anymore. Suddenly the SenHeng deal looks better...
*
Believe it. Check out the new 2014 Mitsubishi Electric premium models (imported). That's already asking for over 3.4k for 1hp and close to 4k over for 1.5hp but the savings is jaw dropping that even 1.5hp saves 50% more than current 1.0hp inverters and 1.0hp about 3-4x more.

I will try to play around more with the pana inveter, it seems the humidity always stay at 60% regardless of the temperature set
*
This is the new inverter generation, the model ending with CS***RKH? If so, they programmed the findings of years of research wherein they factored in healthy humidity for a human being which is never below 55-60% relative humidiy (RH). The Samsung triangle and Sharp (AH****SHV) models now incorporate these parameters. I have a Stadhler Form Selena hygrometer in the room and the reading never dips below 60% RH with the Samsung triangle inverter. The older generation AC tend to be drier. But then again, as always it's a personal preference. Don't know if it helps but drinking lots of warm water may help regulate body temp and perception of temp. You may not feel it immediately but after a while.

What research is finding is that healthy humidity is thereabouts 60-70% RH at varying temperature between 24-27 degrees. 70% humidity can be comfortable for some at say 26-27 degree. On average, it's cool but the relative higher degree of dampness is not uncomfortable. This condition also exist naturally like depending upon the time of the year, at 4am near the forest of parks with lots of trees it gets to misty (dew point at % humidity) at 24 degrees. It's cooler but yet the higher degree of dampness is not uncomfortable until the temperature rises.

For children it should not be below 65-70% RH for the sake of not drying out their lungs and inducing asthma.

I've slept with non-inverters and wake up coughing and sneezing; that's the body reaction to the lungs drying out due to the air being too dry. That's why nowadays I tend to recommend friends to stay away from non-inverters or blow directly with them. They are dry then hot then dry then hot due to the cut-in and cut-out.

My kids have slept using AC and fan for 10 hours and have not suffered asthma. The setting is 27-28 degrees and 1 speed ceiling fan to induce windchill. But what made a huge difference is that the Sharp plasmacluster inverter is blown upwards (gentle cool/Coanda effect mode) rather than downwards.

after all the reading the best bet is getting r32 type aircond?
i did ask some sales staff they don't really encourage to get those r410 inverter cos maintenance and repairing cost is much higher than non-inverter.
other than Daikin how about others, other than China brand recommended such as Sharp?

I mentioned in [edit: another] thread before. R32 supply and distribution needs some rethink on safety before it is widely used here. See here

The gas cylinder has to be kept in 60bar.
60bar is a high pressure steam system used in power plant to generate 132KV of voltage and 30MW of power.

Goodness....refilling or filling might be a nightmare. I imagine it could easily burst the AC pipes unless proper rigging and precautions are used.

Ok.. Dangerous to ozone but safe to home owners..

Not a win win situation isn't it?

To get a picture of what R32 is like, let's take a view of it here. Bear in mind the link goes back 2 years ago when supply was scanty before they (suppliers like Actrol and Heatcraft amongst others) got their act together due to the safety valve requirements. R410a is 50% R32 and 50% R125 which acts as a flame retardant. But R32 is only mildly flammable.

Wow, quite pricey. Turns out in some forums elsewhere that although the operating pressure is slightly higher than R410a, the volume of refrigerant is markedly lesser. The outcome is that the same thickness of piping are compatible but smaller size for the same HP. Meaning that for the same size of inverter piping used, it has to fill with slightly more refrigerant to maintain the operating pressure?

Perhaps the only sensible thing is to hold off R32 purchase until cooling only models arrives which may bring down the price. Current models seems to be cooling and heating. Don't think an average consumer is willing to fork out 3-4x equivalent.
