The band Hellyeah consist of Pantera's drummer & Mudvayne's vocalist.

The new single "Human" kick-ass.

Have anyone here listened to this album? One of the top technical death metal album this year.

What I liked from the first two of Metallica new songs that they are hybrid between old school and modern metal . There are rising trend of old school metal band adopted too much radio-friendly sound in recent years.

Good but I'll stick to the usual Necrophagist, Obscura and Beyond Creation. Too much in collection already 😂

Recently i'm into DEATH. I think I know why I love their songs. Because it is not pure blast-beat style of orthodox death metal. It's more technical and progressive. Being among the first incarnation of death metal band, it's no surprise they actually sounds more THRASH-ier compared to the early 90's death metal band. If Chuck still alive there's no doubt he will be regarded as one of the pioneer and virtuoso of metal music.

I know I'm late but I listened to this since release but as someone who don't usually listen to metal Gojira is really good entry-level to the genre.

5) Serenity - Codex Atlanticus.
6) Lords of Black - II,
7) Theocracy - Ghost Ship,
8) Primal Fear - Rule Breaker,
9) Withem - The Unforgiving Road
10) Circus Maximus - Havoc.

Best findings for me would be Psycrence, Waken Eyes, Teramaze, Sunburst & Black Faith, Lords of Black, Withem.

Best live show video would be Nightwish - Vehicle Of Spirit followed by Judas Priest - Battle Cry Live in Wacken

Highlight of the year would be taking my older son to his first metal concert to watch Nightwish live in Singapore!

Never thought I will see metal here.....lol
