Really? I got 400-550ms yesterday after midnight. Haven't login today but from the look on traceroute..it's probably 250-280ish.

Never played with tunneling since I got Maxis HOME 10mbps.

Before migration: 190-250
After migration: 150-180

It's not constant, sometimes it goes to the usual 209ish probably because it's BG and connected to LA anyways.

But if it's in open world, 150ms biggrin.gif

Exactly same as you, I am using maxis home fibre 10MBps,

Before migration: 190-230 ms
After migration: 150-170 ms

Server migration improved for me slightly. I am at Taman Desa area, where are you at khelben?

It looks like we're forced to use tunneling service or else it is not playable.

2ndly I might be able to arena finally.... FINALLY....

Will monitor for 2 weeks and if all is good, will be back on barthilas HOrde when WOD hits smile.gif

I wonder if anyone on maxis can post their traceroute? It's mind boggling for me how on the 7th hop the latency is 40ish but the next hop it hike up to 250ish even though the ip address of the 7th and the 8th are probably the same area.

Ah, you can d/l http://old.r1ch.net/stuff/ftrace/ to traceroute if you can't do it the usual way (command prompt tracert).

I'm at Medan Damansara smile.gif Hopefully Maxis wont suddenly change the routing.

You'll be pitted against north americans too and when that happens, you'll be connected to North American realms and your ping will be like before inside arenas, so, to be honest not much has changed.

I'll try when I get home. Yeah it doesn't show with command prompt.

yup. seems like maxis is doing good with their routing to aus since my friend are also getting ~150ms without tunneling.

us, unifi user suffer from this server relocation. it was fine though, until last night when the latency shoot up to 400-500ms and now constant ~250ms

this is just like TBC all over again where we need to use tunneling service to play WoW or else it's unplayable

well the good news about the relocation is that eventhough we have to use tunnel we can now finally get sub 150ms in WoW which was not even possible before laugh.gif

Oceania servers are now so slow. Am thinking to try out a ping helper service to see if it helps. Is pingzapper good enough for this? This is the cheapest service I have found so far.

U can use the trial to see if the ping suits you, everyone get different ping, ISP, location is the factor. But most of the people i heard, Battleping is way better.

Btw, battleping doesn't dc me every 20min even in trial thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Have you updated your addons?

My addons are all up to date. Not loading them seems to do nothing to the ping time.
