Hahaha straight ball is easier to target then a hook ball. When you hook a ball, you really need consistency to ensure it hooks properly. If I am tired that day and I play bowling....my score cant even reach 120. tongue.gif

Ah ic, inti boy. You know what I like most about INTI college. the amount of chicks there. Bawhahahaha....some of my friends studied there as well. Fav past time when they studied there : Counter Strike and Snooker.

You mentioned you need some tips on how to hook a ball. I think bonzaimy and benzene can give some good tips on how to do it.

As for me, I had to learn myself by observation and pratice.

The first criteria for hooking is to get a ball (not plastic ball) drilled at a certain angle as well as to fit your fingers. Then only can you start on hooking. tongue.gif

Plastic balls are not for hooking. tongue.gif

hello everybody... hehe... actually my bowling skills arent that good also but i'll try my best to give some tips la... first, have ur own ball.. doesnt matter whether is plastic or reactive.. 2nd, get ur step correct and try on basic hook first... which is from the 2nd arrow(from right) towards the 1-3pin... if ur wrist cant resist the weight of the ball, maybe u can buy a wrist guard (thats what i do when i start learning hook).. i start from a 13lbs plastic ball.. i think u need to learn practically is better.. ask jbbeng go to bowling alley and coach u la.. then u belanja him minum kopi ma.. hehe.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Lol benzene88, I am also nubbie here. Nubbie teach nubbie = total disaster. Might end up with cooldreamer breaking a finger or two.

I totally agree with Benzene88 on getting an own ball. I am currently using a 13lbs ball and to hook properly, a wrist guard is a must for me.

Can still remember a couple of months ago, I was walking into the bowling alley carrying a bag containing my own ball and shoes. Wah look like pro nia, then throw the ball end up straight in longkang. Pai seh like hell man.

I got mine...shoes, ball, and wrist guard for RM400.

It was a good bargain actually. We can try ask the shop at Pelangi if we meet up for a game.

See what the shop has to offer. I have seen the owner bowl a couple of times. Damn he is good with the hooks.

How come every 3 months need to change to ball? Do explain?

My personal record is 203 using the new hook ball.

With the plastic ball you get in the bowling  alley I struggle to even touch 150. tongue.gif

You still can have fun with any balls. Most important is that you strike. That gives you the thrill of playing bowling. tongue.gif
