If you want to play hook, you need a custom made ball drilled to accomadate your palm and fingers. Else you can never hook with the in-house ball at the bowling alley.

Lol..hook is not easy lol..i trained straight ball for 4 month before i can do hook for the first time after that.In house ball also can do hook but it depends on u.Weather u pro or not.All ball can get hook but of course u cannot maintain the hook.If u have ur own ball,it could be better.When u buy ur ball,the driller will ask if u want to play hook,spin or straight.Different style different drill.Like hook,they will not drill ur ball at the center af the ball.Be sure to get a good driller cause it will efect ur performance.A good driller as far as i know is at SunWay Pyramid.He's a professional driller.I think if u want to hook,u better make sure ur leg is strong cause it's really painfull when u throw da ball...i mean da next day...

I got my ball and drilling at the bowling alley in Bangsar. Can't remember the name of the place already. What Bonzaimy said is correct, you need to drill the ball at different angles, according to what kind of style of bowling you would like to play. Even so, the ball has to be made of a different materials. A plastic ball is meant for straight only. My ball is a radical ball, and if I am not mistaken, the ball tend to give more grip to the lane therefore allowing the ball to curve more.

If I geram and not in good mood, I tend to bowl badly. The best time to bowl is when you feel good, relax and calm. Otherwise I just help to clean up the longkang with my ball.

Thats right. Get those on promotion. Something like clearing out the old models to make way for new ones. Just went and play 6 games today and managed to get the highest at 180. I find it hard to touch 200 these few weeks. dunno y.

hahaa...i think you need to train more.Even me also cant get 200 if i start bowl again...

I need a proper coach to correct me on my methods. I think I still bowl inconsistently because I notice my hook balls are not always on target. Sometimes it hits the left side of front pin, sometimes it hits the right side of the front pin. Another weakness I notice is that I have trouble hitting the single pin on either the left or the right end on my second throw.

Btw, I just got a PM from cooldreamer, asking me to meet up for a couple of games in JB. Woo hoo...finally got kaki to play bowling.

I hope I don't get my butt kicked by cooldreamer.
