Anyone actually used to play in Wodnet private server?

i played wodnet. heck i believe alot of lowyat forummer does. one of the biggest in malaysia. Most famous was gnome mage AnuarZain. Can't remember a troll hunter ign starting with X. these two keep topping the hk charts.

Since this is suppose to be a nostalgia thread. I post some pics in the Wodnet day

Note: im a great supporter of blizzard games, and i am by no means to promote private server play, but i do believe private server play a part in allowing people to try the game, especially back in the days when the cost of entry is very high.

I believe the same. Plus playing a private server with bugged quest promotes the real content blizz offers. In a way these private servers are promoting the real thing. I think they are aware of this which is why they just let the private servers be.

I remember wodnet forums was quite active. had a poll which tank was most popular etc since most of the raids are pugs

i think most of us join wodnet during BT raid but the population increases ten fold during sunwell raid and slightly drop during wowltk then worst in cataclysm patch, wish to join you guys back in gundrak but i don't have the time nor a fixed line in home becoz of family policy haiz .....

yeah private servers were like mushrooms back in BC. most probably the pastebins are available everywhere.

I still remember a fella ign called "Yuhuu" back in Wodnet times.
