ok its monday and i bo mood to do my work so here goes nothing

Started playing on a private server in my uni. it was vanilla wow. my roomate and I played a shaman (in vanilla only trolls had shamans) and we leveled together to lvl 20 ish, no exp boosts that time. most of the people were 40ish and i remember we followed them world pvp hiding in the bushes of ashenvale trying to attack darnassus lol (walked from crossroad). With midsems and exam didnt get to lvl to 60 so played a private server outside.

Server name was OMGzone - wasnt very popular, everyone else played another private server (Joker's first server where he was GM, people who played private servers in Msia would know Joker). Server as on bc. Started with a gnome fire mage. poly, pyro, potm, pyro was the shitz those days. one shot mediocre geared rogues n druids. there was one epic orc lock ign "Pain" soloed 4 guys in sw. locks were imba those days.

midsems ended and i went back to uni. with the exp pawning guys in the private server i played a lock and partnered with my roomate an arcane mage, ruled the uni arena. alted a rogue so taht i can ninja warglaives, which was super cool back then. super into wow at the time. went back to midsems and started raiding properly in the same private server. tanked with warrior, pally and druid. healed with my "infamous" priest Oneechan. lel. though i had various characters over the years i always alted a rogue. killing newbs doesnt get better than a rogue. it inflicts them total fear not knowing when youd die and how rclxm9.gif

i graduated and played on another private server since omgzone closed. molten. they were on wotlk. still. but i would say not bugged wotlk, hence explained why they couldnt move on. then i realized hardcore raiding was different. requires more time n commitment and to waste such precious hours on a private server is not worth it.

started playing on retail last year on july? i switched jobs and no longer work in shift hours, realized all the free time i have at night. able to commit and joined actus reus in gundrak. Started with a monk. hyped from mop's new class so it was inevitable. tanked once i reached 90 but the mechs was ovewhelming for someone who never played retail so i switched to dps.

However i realized something was missing. My rogue. Alting a rogue for 5 years realized what i always wanted was actually to main one. hence now im raiding with my rogue, prepping for WoD thumbup.gif

Sorry for the wall of text. How about u guys?

My friend who is into MMORPG invited me to play Dragon Nest with him 2 years ago when I was in semester 1 at my university. At that time I really don't see what so appealing about MMORPG. All you do is doing the same thing, grinding at the same place over and over again. I was like "Nvm lah not interested I'll just stick with csgo and bf3". For me, seeing him play that game for hours at a time is a huge turn off for me.

Then, in semester 3 I came back from kampong, he ask me "eh ko tahu tak tu game world of wakaf?" At that time, all I know was fps games. He showed me the gameplay. My first reaction was "Meh". He also said that the game has monthly subscription, monthly subs ah? no no no! broke student ma normal la.. he also suggest me to share account but after seeing him spend hours playing dragon nest makes me decline the offer. Of course la if he play 24/7 where got time for me to play lel. The hype goes down after that.

Fast forward 1 year later, One day I sat in my room browsing the net after class (I study part time) because got nothing to do and I got 1 whole week of cuti kerja I decided to look for a fan filter for my pc in lelong. Only god knows (or google) how i end up in a wow battle.net website... At that time i remember about my friend talking about the game. I'm bored at that time so yea... I download the starter edition. Played as a human warior to level 10 once in Nagrand but then got bored. I stop playing for 1 monthish. I load up the game again and make a goblin hunter as my character in Gundrank.

But half way through I feel like I wasn't born to do dps class. So i decided that I want to become a tank. Since I was karipap good with tanks in bf3. Picked a belf DK class because... reasonss.... reach level 58. Enter dungeon. I feel like a god. Steamrolling here and there. I was invicible. blood boiling trash mobs like its karipap. running around like it's my bapak dungeon. At that time I think to myself.........., I AM BORN TO BE A TANK!!!!!!!!! but then i reach level 90 got killed by a rouge in timeless isle 5 times. Too scared to step inside that island when pop is high..

Well that's my story biggrin.gif

It was about 8 years ago, TBC Season 1, my friend who is in top raiding guild at that time, poison me about WoW. All the while I wanted to play the game, imagine you're running a 3rd person toon from Warcraft, how cool is that..the monthly sub just draws me off. He constantly show me how cool the game is but meh the graphic at that time, quiet sux compare to other MMO with big big gigantic AOE spell effect, he throws me the installed with 7 days trial and I give in. I started a Human Warrior and level it 20 at Suramar PVE server, it took me about a week for that 20 level, no looms, mob hit so hard, no self heal, first aid all the way then I heard lock is pretty OP at that time so I started one and see how it looks and all the way to max level, 70 at that time. It is very very OP srsly mainly due to I'm really sux in pvp, so do I don't even know what is dps/recount/dbm/burst/1 shot macro stuff. 1v2 is never a problem even I tried 1v3 at bg, multi target fear vs 1 trinket ftw. Lock eats Mage like cookies at that time, 1 pet silence and they are done. The only problem I have is rogue stun lock. I still remember pre-void-bubble before arena starts.

During Wotlk lunch, I'm being an ******* for playing DK because they are..haha OP! It was fun to run Hellfire Citadel with 5 Blood DK(blood is still dps spec and I heard frost is the tank spec) during that time, spam self heal all the way to last boss and the whole team was like LOLOMFGBBQ. I leveled my DK till 80 and I quit WoW for RL stuff. I came back during almost end of cata and play a mage, I never spend time on learning the rotation or how to play pvp, it just doesn't catch my interest so I went to play a Tauren warrior, and came back to my Human Warlock with my RL friend again. Cata is sux imho, the only raid I did was LFR Dragon Soul and the entire experience doesn't catch my interest. Until MOP 5.1 I quit again because my RL friend quit too

In year 2014, I tried a several stuffs that I've never tried before, I played a Prot Warrior up to lvl55 and deleted him because, the Human Male animation after revamp, however, is godammit screwed, played huntard, feel like want to delete her, not so fun, and 3 monks lol, played all 3 specs. Then tried resto druid. I srsly hate myself DPS in druid which is kind of disappointing, wearing looms and still doing shit DPS, read icy-veins, did the stuff but meh..no luck on druid.

All the time, I've played so many different classes, can't really find the one that I want to main.
I fell in love with Monk, more or less I'm being affected by PwndaTV playstyle, and his attitude towards the game. It is so rare to see monks in BG, rarely see them in pug, though Monk doesn't give anything to the team but finally a 10% movement speed buff after 6.0, so I believe, the rare monk will shine in group if you play well!

What I do in game that makes me feel happy: giving free ride, give free mage portal, help out lowbies killing mob when i happen to passby, be it same or opposite faction, loot some nice looking xmog gear.
What I don't like in game: number game, grinding, chat fighting.

During the time where bloody coin was introduced, timeless isle is the worst, you get gank for anyone you see. The debuff that makes you don't award bloody coins is bs, Blizz should make the penalty more serious to prevent ppl from graveyard farming you for no reason. doh.gif

blood dks are op dude. if your tank is blood (tanks get the buff where u do more dmg when u get hit more) u can see their healing is more than healers. more frost and unholy are in arena though.

blood coins farming is the shitz thumbup.gif

if u guys played in a high pop server levelling was super cool, doing quests and need to survive ganks at the same time. blizz just wants that same feeling even when you are at max lvl. however ive seen several opposite faction do rares together and /wave after we killed the mob. not everyone kills everyone in timeless.

That's the best part I like in, players from diff faction communicate and do stuff together. But however there was once, I am ally and not max lvl yet, was helping Horde to 1 shot his quest mob, there is a max lvl Horde Huntard pops and 1 shoted me. Oh srsly? okay then... doh.gif

Blood dks with pre vengence nerf, met them few times, really unkillable. I don't know what's going on lol because I don't know DK at that time.

"Putting out sort of an ad to ppl out there. Looking for like minded gamers out there to play wow together. I started wow 2 years ago, as a total noob. Along the way I met a nice raid leader who was nurturing enough to guide me learning the ropes of wow, thought at a very demanding pace. I was up for the challenge, and in fact, I was actually hooked to the game, so spending effort on it was not a problem. 2 years passed, I am still playing the game and enjoying it.

So in the coming few weeks before expansion hit, I am willing to contribute back to the wow community, I am willing to guide and assist new or returning players in wow, but of course you in return must show your effort as well. High commitment to the game is necessary, of course, passion towards the game will help. 2 years ago I leveled a rogue to 90, being new to game, wanted to try out playing with other ppl instead of just playing single player mode. I wanted to join raid, but nobody wanted my rogue. The raid leader I mentioned earlier came to me and told me he wanted a healer, a holy priest specifically. Wanted to belong to a group, I leveled a new priest from lvl 1-90 in 9 days. After that, I spent weeks learning how to use it, and over the course of 9 months, I was finally able to say I was a decent priest healer. During that 9 months I averaged bout 10-12 hours a day in wow (yes, I was just staying at home for 9 whole months). Of course I do not expect many out there to have the same level of dedication as me (thought I do know a few does). But effort is a must especially for newcomers.

Currently in transition stage, many things can be done much faster. You can level up a toon 1-60 with raf buff in 4 hours. So instead of taking 9 days, one could hit lvl 90 much faster now. Once you hit 90 with item level about 450, you can power grind the toon to get to ilvl 570 in maybe 120 hours game time. So if in hard core mode, average 18 hours of game time a day (done that before, in fact for a continuous 20 days stretch, food in front of computer, minimal toilet break and shower once every 2 days), that can be done in roughly a week, and you can join mythic soo the very next week. Since there's two more weeks, you can probably cut the game time to half of that, say 9 hours per day on wow.

In fact, for the coming expansion, I will be taking caffeine pills so that I can average out 20 hours log on time per day (if server does not bar me from login due to full population). So, anyone who feels they have about the same level of passion for the game, do contact me and I will extend my hand to my best ability."

Started my journey in 2008 (after playing dota everyday & repeatedly playing warcraft3 campaign) i think i need to get in this world of warcraft. introduced by my sister in law to play private server (magicwow). had a lot of fun there (not knowing what is bugged) started my 1st char as warrior (until now i dont have high end warrior toon) had alot of fun during bc time (raiding illidan was easy, but i never get to touch warglaives) until the server switch to wotlk when it all started ..rollback..countless hour of downtime.. disconected issues and others problem that brought rage to the max (i cant believe i actually donated money to buy a mount)

finally i decided to go for retail in 2010 (started few months before cata came) THEN i realized this is what people crazy about playing the original warcraft.. started my journey as gay belf paladin (sad thing he became one of my loyal miner) and the rest is history.

cant wait to hit 100 next month..will do extreme leveling like the release of MOP..be the 1st guy to hit 100 in guild..lol

DK FTW

i think its safe to say 80% of wow players play dota or war3 before they play wow. blizzard really knows how to reel people into their games. i played several private servers before too tapi never donated, kalau mampu donate i already played retail in the beginning
